I really can't give a better score for this location until improvements actually remain consistent. This being said in the times when I have had a decent experience leading to hope that perhaps the owners of this location are turning things around, my next visit ends up being disappointing. So what's the issue? There are too many bad experiences to list, and im finally taking time to put this review in. ¹you better make time to double-check your order before you drive off. Unfortunately, we all now live in a world where fast food standards have degraded enough to make this a standard expectation, and we, the consumers, have been conditioned to accept the error and live with it. We will just call it in to know we will get it back on the next visit if it's a minor fail. Again, this is not isolated to this location, but this location seems ok with letting orders go out the window incomplete. If they ask you to park it while they are waiting for some of your order to be made, there's a good chance the rest of your order is just sitting next to a cash register(what happened to hot lamps?) cooling off. These kids think the bags are insulated, but we all know how fast this food can cool off. Its not like they burgers are wrapped in foil. I digress. You'll know before you pull off if you sample a fry when they bring out the order. If you're told to wait for your food in a parking spot, nothing should be room temperature or cold. I've gotten home before with an order, which is about a 5 minute drive around the corner, hitting green lights, and upon sitting down to eat, the burger is cold. Now, here is how you know it's an issue. If the burger had been hot at all for a minimum amount of time and then cooled off in the time it took me to get home, the corners of the slice of cheese would not even exist. This burger was never hot on the qbwcheese because the corners were perfect as if I had put a slice of cheese on it when I got home. So the food is never really hot. I've eaten in the diner once and witnessed a man go up and complain that his fries were cold. There's just no sense of pride going on here. I haven't been to this establishment since 12/15/24 when after ordering food for 3 we got home to see that my 14 year old's QPwChz was twice as small as it should have been, meaning the entire burger was smaller than the palm of his hand. We snapped pictures and returned the entire order because our fries were also cold, and the nuggets were room temperature biting into them. We got our money back. My recommendation is just to avoid, but sometimes you just have to feed the family, and i ger that struggle on a busy school night. Meybe, the answer is if everyone makes them correct the mistakes or get your money back. That's the only thing that's going to force change. As long as the market is OK with substandard expectations, this place will never bother creating a good work culture with pride in what they are handing to you. They simply won't and don't care enough. Last thing. Once I walked in to get my drive thru order corrected. Suffice to say I was one of 3 customers doing the same and waiting. No one in the dining room was happy. This was in the early evening, and in that moment, under this situation, no one behind the counter and in the kitchen should be laughing and having a good time. That's a bad look and literally at the customer's time...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe all know McDonald's. We've all gone there for years. This one is up there with the most poorly run in the city.
On one occasion went there and ordered a small sprite. They were out of small cups so they gave me a medium cup but fill it about 2/3. When i asked the girl what's up with the partially filled cup she stated that equals a small.
Now I didn't want the extra soda, it's the principle. If all your drink sizes are a $1 then why not just fill the freaking cup up rather than giving the customer a 2/3 full cup?
Went back a couple of weeks ago, waited in the drive thru line for almost 10mins and no movement. Went into the store where three others were standing to place an order. It took them 10mins to finally get to me.
I literally waited in their lobby for 30mins for a freaking fish sandwich!
I live no more than 3mins away, got home and no cheese or tartar sauce on the thing.
By this time my frustration was palpable. The wife took the meal back up there, she asked to speak to the manager(Erica). I called ahead and told her about their ineptitude but she refused to come up to the front and handle a disappointed customer.
There were at least two managers and two shift leads on duty and they all ran for the hills because no one wanted to take accountability for a poorly run place.
With whataburger, sonic and burger King all competing for the same customer this McDonald's should be hyper focused on maintaining their customer base but no, they act like they're the only choice.
Well, they lost a customer from a decently affluent neighborhood and I plan on telling everyone on the block and the hundreds of people who will see this post.
I value the dollars I spend, as we all do. If you want people to earn your money this McDonald's at Potranco/211 feels entitled to it.
Don't give them the satisfaction and let your voice be heard by going to another location or shop their competition until they get competent leadership...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food was average but it was not hot. No real issues with that. The problem with this location is the service and the speed of that service. The last 3 times I've been, I had to wait 20+ minutes for my food. I utilize the curbside stalls. My last time here I sat waiting at the curbside pickup for 25 minutes after the McDonalds app notified me that "someone will be bringing your food out momentarily." (something like that). Needless to say, i walked inside because this was pretty excessive. Then when I got inside, there was no one at the front helping numerous customers. The staff in the back looked busy for sure, but they didn't even acknowledge us standing there. I then tried to get their attention because I still hadn't received my food and its been 30 minutes at this point. They finally got to me, I told them it had been 30 minutes since I got the notification that my food had been prepared and is coming out to my vehicle... I got an uninterested look and they asked what curbside space I was in. I told them my space, and they walked back, grabbed the food thats probably been sitting there for close to 30 minutes, and apologized. I'm not one to complain often, but this was pretty bad. Additionally, the time before this visit, it took them 20 minutes and they brought the food out. They did not have the condiments I asked for and said sorry... just kept looking at me.. I had to ask if they could get it from inside. He rolled his eyes, walked back in, and came back out with a massive handful of packets. I said I only wanted a few, but he insisted I take all 20+ of them. Pretty petty. If this place looks at all busy, I'd just go to another...
