Gatti's has been a favorite since they were called "The Pizza Place". However things have gone way down hill. They used to have top notch quality, within the scope of their recipes, but they have lost their touch. The sampler doesn't taste as good as it used to be, the ranch dressing is no longer the home made recipe they used to have, and they can't get an order right to save their life. I order a sampler with 4x jalapenos, they charge me over $7 for the Jalapenos, and put on only 2 per slice of pizza. They do this every time. If I just order the free Jalapenos, I still get 2 per slice... What am I paying the $7 for?
Now suddenly they are cash only, so I have to go to an ATM to buy a pizza, and have loose cash left over that I don't normally carry. So they just keep going down hill.
This used to be an Austin original chain that I could depend on for a predictable experience. They had flavors I could count on, I always know what I was going to get when I placed my order... But no more. They no longer hold true to their original flavor, and even if you say I have to adapt to new recipes, what about the lack of quality or attention to detail? Where are my $28 worth of jalapenos for my last 4 orders?
What happened to the great subs? And the fresh ingredients? That classic flavor? it has all been lost. The last Gatti's buffet restaurant I visited refused to even take my order for a sampler, told me to choose from the buffet, which was worse than horrible. This location was better for a long time, but it has gone down hill as well.

Read moreOur pizzas (almost $50 worth) were carelessly handed to someone outside of our building by the delivery driver and not delivered to our unit as it was supposed to be. It would be to have had a disclaimer that our delivery would be made by a 3rd party delivery service even though we ordered directly through the business website. We were stuck going back and forth between Doordash customer service and Gatti trying to get our money back. The staff that spoke with my husband on the phone was short and didn’t seemed to care or wanted to help resolve the issue. After my husband was placed on for almost 10mins then was hung up on, he called back only to be rudely brushed off by a female staff member saying she had proof that the pizzas were delivered and was handed off to speak with another gentleman, who seemed to reluctantly agree to remake and redeliver our pizzas. We will see if we get them this time! Doordash was the worst and is the worst as usual. We will not order from this location again, if any, based on how we were treated by the staff over the phone. They told the guy, then he called and my mom spoke to him in Spanish and still we called him asking where he was and he said he could not deliver to another address that's not on order! This is ridiculous and the last time we are ordering from Gattis! We literally live up the block. How can yall mess this up?! We only ordered delivery because of the rain.
I called to cancel and they put me on hold for 5 mins, I hung up called back and was put on hold for 10 mins while doing so I called from my Mom's phone and the lady answered right away which is sorry. All I wanted to was cancel because of the deliver guy's mess up. We never got our food.
