Olde City Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Texas

They are over priced & three times that I have went up there on steak night I had called beforehand multiple times asking if they still had steaks & to make sure they were still selling steaks at 9PM at night they said yes & they even went & checked with the cooks & they said that they were selling them until 10:30-11:00pm. But then when I got there they said I'm sorry we ran out you can order something else it was only 9:30 when I got there, but the person in front of me & the couple behind me both had ordered themselves a steak & told them they still had quite a bit left... honestly I think it was a racial/gender issue because I was the only white woman who was there trying to order it. The person before me was a Hispanic man and the man Behind me was also a Hispanic man with his lady & they had ordered two of them... this place keeps going down hill before it was a mixture of people & was equal it was so much fun, but now it's either junkies or one race in there it's...

So I've been on a mission to try all the STEAK NIGHTS in the Houston area from Lincoln Bar to here...wherever. I don't ever judge hole in the wall places, I'd try anything once. As soon as we got out our car its a bit confusing for newcomers to know where the entrance is. Do I go through the patio? Is there another door in the back? There are no signs. Patio entrance it is. Walked pass the bar, was not greeted by any one. Walked in and there was no one there so we weren't sure if we seat ourselves, or do we wait to be seated. Again, no signs. Bunch of ppl smoking and drinking at the bar just stopped to stare as we walked through looking lost and confused lol I felt so awkward and out of place. Could hardly breathe from the cigarette smoke and couldn't find any one who worked there either. So we walked out. Lol Will go to Mak's on...

This bar is like the tardis from Doctor Who- it's bigger on the inside. Nice atmosphere. The interior is almost entirely made of wood and filled with booths, books, and nice old armchairs. Because of this, there is a strong, comforting aroma. There is a ping pong table, pool tables, dart boards, and shuffleboard table. The night I came for open mic I was starving and got some chicken tenders. I could tell from the items listed on the menu and the comments from other customers online, that the food would probably be good, but when the chicken and fries hit my tipsy lips, it was certified. Cute wait staff, lots of people out on the patio as well. Lots of options in seating for social butterflies and lone wolves alike. Comedy on Thursdays, karaoke on Saturdays.
