Tortas Ahogadas — Restaurant in Texas

Unfortunately, as with most of the "tortas ahogadas" found in Houston, the bread that is used in the recipe is not the right kind. This food truck has the flavor for sure!! They have the most amazing red enchiladas, they have this torta called their namesake, totas ahogadas, which translates to drowned tortas.. it's a regular torta that's drowned in some broth.. they also focus their recipes that include pickled red onion.. it's Soo good!! You can call and order your pick up and it will take you nothing to pick up and go!...

My husband and I stopped here for the first time and SO glad we did. The lady helping us was so sweet and very patient with me and my broken Spanish. We ordered, fajita tacos, chicken tacos, flautas, and the enchiladas. I also ordered a mango and strawberry tea. Everything was delicious! 😋 we can't wait...
