The food is definitely 5 stars, but I am knocking off one star for inconsistencies and smell.
We went in on a Thursday night and had 2 adults and 3 children. We ordered the chicken tenders kids meals for the kids, which were those restaurant depot halal tenders, and they came with fries and a drink. I love those and so do the kids, so they enjoyed it. But it definitely wasn't anything original or special.
For us we ordered the jalapeno burger with the pepperjack cheese, one with a chicken patty and one with a beef patty. Zeeshan, the guy taking our order, was very helpful and also suggested the philly. We got it with beef (original). OMG! The burger and chicken burger were DELICIOUS beyond belief. I was highly impressed with the food, the flavor and freshness.
I knocked off a star because the smell when you walk in is OVERWHELMINGly bad. My 4 year old was flipping out and kept saying, "It smells like POOP!" lol... it did. It smelled like that overwhelming smell of pinesol and poop mixed together. I think this problem could have been solved if they just closed the bathroom door, which was propped open. I mean it STUNK. Quite honestly, under normal circumstances I would likely not eat at a place that smelled that bad. But since the place was PACKED, I knew that the food must have been good. And it sure was. So I guess it made up for the smell.
Now on to the inconsistencies. We LOVED the food so much, that we planned to go back the next day, but call in and order our food to eat for lunch after a trip to Typhoon Texas, a nearby water park.
I called and placed the EXACT SAME ORDER, but the lady that answered the phone said I could not order the OMG spicy burger with a chicken patty. I told her I had gotten it just last night, and she insisted that "NO, we do NOT make subsititutions to our burger or menu..." I was so confused because Zeeshan the previous night did it for us gladly and willingly. When I asked to speak to him, then she said "she could make an exception this ONCE" and allowed me to order one of the burgers with a chicken patty??
That really irkedd/bothered me. She would have easily lost a 50 dollar order and a lifelong customer had she not made one simple adjustment to one burger but the attitude was unnecessary! This is the exact reason why I struggle to support desi businesses, the inconsistencies in the food and AWFUL customer service. Luckily, the food we brought home was very delicious (consistent from the previous night) but the customer service was not.
All that being said, the food spoke volumes and for THAT I will be back. But likely I will order out or call before and make sure Zeeshan is working...
Read moreI was excited to try this place after seeing it on ig. I donât know if itâs just the location (we went to Mason Rd.) or what, but it was a major disappointment. I had been waiting for friends and while sitting, the woman working the counter had come out and there was no greeting, no smile, nothing. It was also kind of warm and humid in there and didnât get any better. At the time that we ordered we were the only ones there, one family had just left. Again, the woman had zero personality and customer service. Awkward. We placed our order and waited. It took a little while and when the order was up, my number was called. My friends order was up next, number was called, THEN immediately after, an automated voice came on LOUD repeatedly saying âplease take your mealâ. Iâm talking not even a second after a person called the number did this happen. Zero time to go get it before youâre yelled at as if itâs been sitting there. Not only that, but we were the only ones there, itâs a tiny place, I donât think it would be a bad idea to actually bring our food to the table instead of all that. The food itself was bad. Burger was overcooked and dry and also over seasoned. The fries were good, but cheese on it was like ballpark cheese. The meal was like bad bad food. My friendâs meal was wrong and that was interesting to get fixed. I ate three bites and was done. Another family came in and when the automated yelling to get your food happened, the momâs eyes about popped out of her head and she looked at me like âis this for real?!â. I couldnât do anything but nod yes and laugh. Definitely wonât be going back and immediately...
Read moreOMG! Burger. Honestly, the name doesn't hit the mark when it comes to the food. The menu does consist of burgers but also Wings, Philly Cheesesteak, Indian Fusion Tacos, and Chicken Sandwiches! As pictured, I ordered the "Classic Cheeseburger" and shared the fries with my diner partner. Having driven by here many times and never stopping to try it, I was both excited and nervous getting something as basic as a standard cheeseburger. Nearly every restaurant offers one and they're either really well done or completely terrible for some reason. While waiting for my food, I scoped out the restaurant itself. Small and humble, the only thing that really stood out was that it was small and humble. That said, I do love the family collage on the wall right when we walked in, something special about sharing family experiences... really works, especially on Father's Day. Our number was called and I grabbed the metal trays our burgers came out on. I will say, the fries pictured are about a quarter of the portion we were given, very generous on the fries! Classic burger consists of buns, meat, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, mayo, and a full slice of red onion (In N Out style). Not pictured was the mushrooms burger which was very tasty as well! I have to say, the cheeseburgers were impressive! Cooked through perfectly and every bite was so flavorful! As a fan of cheeseburgers and eating them more than I probably should, I would say that OMG! Burger is underrated even having a great score on Google and Yelp. I'll be back to try other food off this menu, these guys made me a fan! Keep up the...
