I went Saturday night at around 8:45 with a friend, ordered 2 big bowls of salad and a tomato basil soup. It was our first time going to a Salata so we didn't know what to expect. Lets just say I will never come back to this location. After spending almost $30 for everything, I go back home to find that I had none of my salad dressing in the bag. I found that was odd because the manager had put the dressing in the to-go cups for us. Not to mention he was constantly answering the phone while he was serving us. I live about 15-20 mins away and called them at 9:25. I had to call twice for anyone to answer. The manager answered, I told him that I did not have my dressing in the bag. He told me that he would refund me money with the card I paid with, but I paid in cash. Not only that but he did not give me a receipt for the transaction because he was too busy answering the phone. He then said that he would give me a gift card when I came back and that he would tell the other manager Miguel about the incident. I said ok that's fine, I would come back tomorrow to pick it up along with the dressing that they forgot to give me. I go back Sunday morning at 11 before I went to work (which is out of the way) so I can have my salad for lunch since I was unable to eat it for dinner. I went in, asked for Miguel. While the employee got the manager for me, I asked the other employee to pour dressing into the to-go cup for both of the salads. Miguel comes out, I tell him exactly what happened and that the manager from last night said that I can come and pick up a gift card along with my salad dressing. Miguel looking confused said that he was unaware of the situation and it wasn't written in their book of complaints. He said that he could not help me until the other manager tells him about it. He told me to leave my name and number so someone can call me back about what they are going to do. I get a call back today, Monday while at work. I believe the guy's name was Eddie, told me that the manager from the other night did not say that he would give me a gift card. I asked him if he could call me back in a hour and half. He told me that he couldn't because he was about to leave his office. That was very inconsiderate, my job is not important to him but him going home is. So I told him, you can forget about the incident because I won't return back there. I'm very disappointed in my first experience with Salata, not only that their inconsiderate managers. I wasted my time driving back and forth, and my time on the phone as well...
Read moreLove La Salata as a concept and their ingredients are fresh and tasty! I love their fresh herbs dressing and sun-dried tomato. I have gone to this location multiple times for a large salad to go. I haven't been in a while (1 year?) because customer service can sometimes be iffy. I like most of their vegetables and ask for about half of the options when I order my salad... This is allowed although most people do just order chicken ranch salads w carrots and broccoli...it always seems to seriously annoy the lady serving me because she asks more and more annoyed "anything else????!!" The last item I selected was black beans, so when she said anything else, I said black beans please, to which she neither replied nor added it and moved on to the next customer. I just stood there, kind of stunned by what had happened, she put the beans on the salad, and the next person took over...WEIRD!!! I'm not rude at all and always say please, but I do think I have the right to order my salad how I like it as long as I'm not asking for like a cup of beans or huge amounts of a topping or something weird like that.... Just kind of hate the verbal abuse and judgment because I happen to like more than just 2 vegetables. For this reason, I prefer Jason's Deli Salad Bar and Sweet Tomatoes Salad Bar... No salad...
Read moreI’ve only ordered from Salata twice this year with both times being months apart. Each time I ordered it was from a different location, and each time I got home I realized there was no croissant in my bag. I clearly stated to put one in. The fuk is that about? Weird! Also, it was just this time, but I noticed I didn’t have blue cheese when I asked him to put some in. I’m usually looking around for other choices I want to add in after I state what I want. Apparently I have to keep my eye on the person making sure they put everything in my salad that I ask for. After all I’m using my hard earned money!
And why is the portion of salad dressing only one small sauce cup for a regular salad? You truly can’t see that as feasible.
The reviews are true about rude staff, specifically the classic mad black lady. However, rude people just roll off of me. I understand their rudeness is never about the person they are targeting to. It’s just easy for them put their misery onto the easy target.
Well. I’m officially done with Salata. Just poor service all around. And for it to be consecutively when I don’t even go often Is an annoyance. This here is why I don’t order out often. Miserable workers and...
