Got the lychee green tea with addition of strawberry jelly and rose flavoring. The drink tasted good, but the rose flavor was barely noticeable and almost nonexistent. They said they don’t have the syrup currently, so they added the flavor with loose leaf rose tea.
Tasted like a regular lychee green tea with strawberry jelly added to the bottom. Drink was fresh though, and the jelly was the perfect texture. Sweetness of the drink was also well balanced and not overpowering. Overall a pleasant and refreshing drink, it’s just not the exact flavor I ordered, wish it wasn’t missing the rose flavor. But it still was pretty tasty.
Also tried the petit beignets. They were fluffy and had a generous dusting of powdered sugar covering them. For my first time trying beignets ever, I thought they were pretty good. Granted I don’t have anything to compare them to lol, but from what I’ve heard they are supposed to be a pillowy consistency and chewy texture, which they were. The portion sizes for the regular and petit are pretty big and reasonably priced too. Wish they had a half dozen petit size option. The current petit size offered is twelve minis square beignets.
They have vegetarian and halal friendly options as well. Spacious seating, clean interior, and colorful decor/setup. There are two mini claw machines on the side of the store near the entrance.
One of the coolest things about this place is that they have Houston’s first ramen bar wall. They have a really big selection to choose from, and you get to pick your veggies and protein from the fridge, pay up front, then microwave it and put it all together. The veggies are all free, and the protein ranges from one to two dollars generally.
The severs working were all seemed very sweet and helpful. Good and friendly customer service.
Overall, cool place to try. Will try this place again, recommend checking them out if you want a novel experience at the ramen wall or if you’re in the area craving...
Read moreThis store is right next to a Sprouts so there’s plenty of parking which is always nice. Right when my friend and I walked in, we noticed a wall full of ramen for customers to choose from which was pretty cool. Instead of ramen, we decided to get a Grilled Chicken Bahn Mi combo that comes with a drink- we ended up getting the passionfruit pineapple green tea with boba. On top of that, we ordered Spicy popcorn chicken. The staff members who were working were very friendly and gave good recommendations on what to order.
The drink was light and refreshing- I loved how there were chunks of fruit and the boba was nice and chewy. The grilled chicken bahn mi was okay- I wish it had more of the grilled/charr taste. The spicy popcorn chicken is just chicken with a spicy powder sprinkled on top but the meat was crispy and juicy so my friend and I enjoyed it!
What we really liked about this spot is that they have a variety of different sauces to choose from (i.e. buldak sauce, carbonara buldak sauce, sweet/spicy, honey, hot sauce, etc) Overall, my friend and I enjoyed Petit...
Read moreVery disappointed that I didn’t visit sooner considering how much I frequent Sprouts. Perhaps because I never really crave beignets and so the name threw me off, but I wanted a Vietnamese coffee one day and I quickly learned it’s much more than that.
Friendly staff, efficient service, vibrant ambience, and great use of space; all coming from someone that used to be in the food industry. The DIY ramen bar is creative and a great way to let folks customize their flavor. Lots of choices so it might be hard to decide, but at the same time, seemingly hard to go wrong.
So far, I personally have only had their bahn-mi. I enjoyed it so much the first visit, I just had to check for consistency on the second and sure enough, it’s the best I’ve had in a long while. Quality bread makes all the difference among other details. The drinks are balanced and not too heavy on the sugar like a lot of places which is very nice.
Safe to say this’ll be a new staple going forward since my fam are noodle heads and will appreciate the all-around...
