Lone Star Ice House — Restaurant in Texas

This review is specifically for people looking for karaoke. I came here on a Thursday night.

The bar itself is nice and the bartenders were nice. Its the only reason id come back here.

Shortly after arriving I put in a song with the karaoke host. I ordered a pizza. Got my pizza. Ate my pizza. And never got to sing. I was the only person signed up to sing a song. 30 mins later the DJ never called me so I just left to go to another bar that had karaoke. He acknowledged me several times saying “just a couple more songs and i got you”…but never did. Lol. when I asked for my tab the bartender asked if I wanted to sing before I left. I said yea that would be nice, ive put in a song with the DJ” and she said great! And still nothing. His set up wasnt great for karaoke anyway (in the corner, blocked in by a table, lyric screen was a small 13” screen, the type that you attach to a mobile office set up ) but i just wanted to sing a a few songs before heading home. i guess he was too busy DJing instead of running a karaoke show. I believe his name is DJ codex or something. 0/10 do...

Ever since jhon left the supervisor task. They have been hiring nothing but unprofessional bar tenders , not polite, not well trained, not well mannered, this place has gone down hill very fast, came to have a drink and met the worst Bart tender ever on Sunday 24th October. We left the place and paid our tab not wishing to coma back ever again, we ve been coming for years to support local businesses, we left very disappointed, we will never come back , we suggest you to go to on the rocks on louetta road only 6 min away.

I'm sorry jhon , you need to hire better people. We will never come back again, take your business...

I’m part of the LGBTQIA+ community and went to this bar with my girlfriend for the first time this week. We were concerned and apprehensive since it’s a dive bar in Texas where we were clearly a minority. All I can say is that I am in awe of the hospitality and kindness of not only our amazing bartender Erica, but the rest of the customers. We felt so welcomed and above all SAFE, which is not something we encounter everywhere. So thank you guys. This bar has a piece of my heart now ❤️
