Lone Star Mushrooms — Attraction in Tomball

I got tired of all the soggy mushrooms at the store and wanted something fresh. I saw this place on Google and finally took the time to stop by Monday on my work break. The guy who helped me was awesome because I made it like 7 minutes before they closed, but he was still so nice and helped get me everything I wanted. Also, he was very informative with the mushrooms and the process of growing them. I brought 2 bundles of their lions mane mushrooms (which I already ate, sorry lol) and this lovely pink oyster mushroom kit.

I was so skeptical about it growing at first and if it would grow properly because it took a day for it to start budding which is the first pic. But, I probably messed up with the watering part. I was spraying on top of the plastic instead of lifting it up. As soon as I started watering under the plastic, my mushrooms grew like wild fire! The third pic is how they look today (only 5 days from when I got them!). I’m so amazed and happy. I’ve enjoyed watching them grow each day. I’m going to let them mature a little longer before I harvest and eat them, but I just wanted to come and say that this place is awesome! I will definitely be back for more!

If I could make this review 6 stars I would. I had never grown mushrooms and decided to give it a whirl since I am a vegetarian, love cooking and eating mushrooms. The staff was SUPER friendly and answered all my "I've never grown mushrooms" questions and showed me some fully grown ones so I would know what to expect. The Blue Oyster's were AWESOME and grew quickly. I also purchased some Lion's Mane and it was hard for me to tell if they were ready. I called the store and talked with them about my growth stage and they suggested that I send some photos. They were eager to help and provided some awesome follow-up messages also. As a small business owner myself, I think one of the most important elements is customer service.
