I noticed a review from Mr. Oliver Mira, who expressed disappointment regarding the roll not being toasted and feeling there wasn’t enough steak on his sandwich. I believe that if he had shared his concerns with the management, they would have happily addressed the issue.

It’s essential to note that an authentic cheese steak, as traditionally made in Philadelphia, doesn’t involve toasting the roll. That's more typical of places like Subway. For some historical context, the cheese steak and hoagie originated in Philadelphia, with the Italian hoagie being one of its earliest forms. The quality of the hoagie roll is crucial, and unfortunately, it’s not commonly found in Texas—except at Philly Flats, which does a fantastic job of maintaining this tradition. The roll is a significant part of what makes the sandwich enjoyable.

As the cheese steak spread to different regions, variations emerged, leading to names like "submarine" in Georgia, "po’ boy" in Louisiana, and "hero" in New York. However, a true cheese steak is made with either American or some prefer provolone cheese such as my mother did, not the liquid cheese that some might prefer.
