Overall not bad, but there were a handful of little things that stacked up and furthered the distance between good and great.
Everything tasted pretty good. Tacos, tortillas, salsas, aguas frescas, etc. but nothing was really outstanding or memorable. The tacos de bistec were kinda dry despite good flavor, and they looked gray and less than fresh. Mind you, we came in on a Sat afternoon right before the noon lunch rush.
The aguas frescas tasted pretty good, but they weren’t the fresh, handmade limonadas and Jamaicas I’m used to.
The service was kind at the time of ordering, but we tipped 20% and there was zero service after the food was delivered, so I felt a bit weird paying a little over $40 for 2 plates of tacos and 2 drinks. I know I’ll never see the $1-$1.50 tacos of my childhood, but it just didn’t seem to match in terms of value. There are many places nearby that compete very well with the prices and quality here.
I’d call this spot good, but there wasn’t anything that’d make me recommend...
Read moreThey welcome you in very friendly. The taco's are okay, but they are over priced. If you want legit street taco's look up Tolucas taco's here in Katy on I-10 and Fort Bend. Price is descent as well, you get your moneys worth. My daughter ordered the chicken nugget plate which came with fries. My son was the one who told us the fries tasted wierd when he took one of them from her plate. Both me and my husband tasted them and they were under cooked. Under cooked food is a BIG no for any restaurant, especially if it's served to a child. When my husband told them the situation, they took $2.00 off, they were not going to charge us for the fries. Any owner would've taken the plate off the tab due to not being satisfied with the meal. Some items were missing on the taco's as well. They did bring it out, once we told them. The tripas are a bit undercooked, but we didn't want to complain about everything at this point. Service is not provided if you decide to eat there, it's pretty much like a...
Read more2nd time here, breakfast taco were great and consistent from the last time. Price is really affordable. Flour tortilla were good, but we had better, my wife said that if they had a better tortilla would make it a perfect place for taco breakfast. The egg potato taco tasted simply good, their spicy sauce has changed green and orange seems diluted from the last time we went. A bit greasy but I assume that is how people generally like these taco. The bacon was a bit chewy. They were getting busier when I came in, I only had (1) family in front if me and it took them 30 minutes to get me (3) Breakfast Taco and a (1) kid breakfast. If they were a little more organized maybe the service would be a 5 star rating. For my to-go order, I really expected a 10 minutes turn around time. Arrived there at 10am, made my order at 10h03 and...
