I went with my kiddos for a treat/something cold after having a few troublesome baby teeth pulled. We ordered 5 shakes and 2 orders of cheese sticks. So the screen updates you on your orders--- it says being made-- cool. We wait.
After 10-15 it updates that "Victoria" is headed out to us with our food. My kids excitedly look around, they see someone... not ours. Okay. Someone else.. nope. 5 minutes go by. No food. Over 10 and I hit the red button. I'm asked what I would like to order. I tell them - they cleared away my order and I would like it.
We wait longer. Someone comes out with the wrong order - there is some kind of soda and 2 shakes missing. She goes back, finally returning. (I suspect they cleared my order to keep their "times" low. Many fast food places have a goal time that corporate/the GM wants to see maintained. So the store looks better than it actually is on paper.) I ask why they cleared my order as brought out, when I was actually waiting another 15 minutes at least? She says she was going to bring it, but then got busy taking other orders. It's 3/4pm on a weekday. There were, at most, 4 cars on the same side I was. There was no burgeoning lunch or dinner rush. But, all should be well, right? Because we have our order? Over $30 dollars order.. and every shake was melted. Awful customer service. Poorly ran. The right thing to do would have been to remake my order once they realized it sat unattended getting warm/cold. Go to Brahams. Their shakes taste pretty darn delicious even after they melt.
TL;DR Order forgotten about until I called back, order brought out wrong, given food/shakes that were clearly sitting out a while (liquified). Go to Brahams. Or...
Read moreI have never experienced poor customer service from Sonic until I visit this particular Sonic last night. The most amazing part of the experience is that the poor customer service came from the night manager. I simply ordered 5 small shakes that took over twenty minutes to receive and at that point they looked and felt like milk in a cup. I asked the car hop to bring fresh shakes where the cherry is not already sinking. About ten minutes later fresh beautiful shakes arrived and the car hop asked for the complete total. As a customer I politely let the car hop know that I feel my total should be adjusted and it does not matter the amount. I simply wanted some gesture from Sonic to show they apologize for having their valued customer waiting over thirty minutes for five small shakes and that they brought out five retired shakes after the thirty minute wait. The car hop was unable to assist therefore the manager came out. I explained the situation to the manager and her response was "Didn't she make you more shakes" and "I am sorry but if I do it for you I would have to do it for everybody" With the Managers lack of understanding of providing excellent customer service and her disrespectful tone I politely took the ice cream from my five children and returned them to the manager. Due to the managers stance I refuse to pay for poor customer service. I did go to the Sonic on Main in Lewisville and received excellent customer service. These items then proceeded to take almost 30 minutes to receive.and while waiting two of the carhops were at the car next to me just cussing up a storm. One of the things I ordered was a sweet tea which after about 15 minutes they finally came back over the intercom and told me they were out of sweet tea and asked what other kind of drink I would like. So I told them a dr. Pepper and they said the food would be out shortly. Another 15 minutes later they bring out the food and only one drink. I asked him where the other drink was and he said oh yeah the sweet tea is out .so I said yes I know they were supposed to bring me a dr. Pepper. So he said okay I'll be right back with your Dr Pepper. while he was gone I proceeded to check the rest of the food and I had ordered a number 11 which clearly says and shows that it comes with tater tots. Well the food that they brought out had french fries so I told him I ordered a number 11 and it's supposed to come with tater tots. And he says well I know it says that but they make it with french fries. So I said well I would like some tater tots please. So he proceeded to walk off with the food and then stops to talk to one of his friends 2 cars down and tell him all about his car. All on all this was a terrible experience and they clearly need a manager on duty who can handle a bunch...
