Kolache Factory — Restaurant in Katy

I am very aware that this store is just lazy, I make sure I call ahead and order my usual Strawberry kolaches. They never have them and I have to fight them to make them anyway. Half the time I get hit with this excuse “our cook left for the day” and it will be at noon.. so today was the last straw.. I placed the order before I left my house. I arrived at 10am and I was told they still have 15 min. Ok… so at 10:30 I check on the order and I get “it has 2 more minutes” for starters I know they take about 10min to make. Only because they forgot to make them one time and then started making them and they were completely done in 10min. First off, the kolaches were excellent, however, this review is based off of the customer service from this store. The young man working the front desk (Isaiah) was probably in his late teens and there were about 4 of us in line. He took the time to greet each one of us individually as well as apologize for any wait we may have experienced. Upon leaving he told each of us to "have a blessed day." He was polite, patient and kind. A man in the line had a military hat on and he even took the time to genuinely thank him for his service. Dishonest practices is what i experienced. I put a tip down for the young lady expecting her to say thank you but without uttering a word she quickly picked it up and put it in the cash register and just after she had put my tip money in the cash drawer she said it's store policy that we are to turn our tips overby puttingthem in the cash drawer. I should have been informed before she placed it in the cash register but she did not say a word. I felt ROBBED. I didn't intend for it to go in the cash register. This is grossly dishonest.
