A small hide-away Authentic taste of Mexico. My wife and I come her very frequently. We have been coming here for many years long before 2021. We are super impressed by the service, they know where we like to dine. The staff is super friendly.
We always start off with some queso or guacamole and the salsa is super.
The chef and their team really know's what they are doing prepares their menu items. Especially the beef enchiladas. The new ownership has created a masterpiece of a beef enchilada with his secret hidden recipe.
It's really hard to put into words. But I will do my best, the sauce is authentic! The corn tortillas are the magnificent! Once you begin the taste the beef enchilada and its sauce and the next thing you realize is that you have to ask for another order. Always go with two beef for your first attempt to enjoy this masterpiece. We always ask for a few to go. Also we ask for a few homemade tortillas to go to take home for breakfast.
My wife always likes to try the beef and carnita specialties. The flavors just blow your mind away. They are super tender and are delicious with just enough sauces for flavor. The flavors are like you are in a small town across the border. We always try to have a dessert but we always end up taking a few to go.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us every time we dine at your hide-away. Also, the margaritas are the best in the area. Please save us a seat after this review. I am sure you will be super...
Read moreI’ve been looking for birria tacos when I found this place on google maps. I looked at their menu and they offer a variety of options, but for my first trip I only ordered the quesabirrias. I thought that the difference between this and a birria taco was that this was a quesadilla as opposed to a taco. I was wrong. The difference is what I ordered has cheese and the other doesn’t. Nonetheless this tasted fantastic and the cheese was subtle so I think the birria tacos would be equally good.
First thing I noticed is the amount of meat is stuffed in each taco. If I had some extra corn tortillas, I could have made another 2-3 tacos. So even though my meal was $16 before tax, it was a lot of food. It comes with a blend of cilantro, fresh diced jalapeños, white onions on the side and a lime wedge. The consume was good, but seemed a bit watery. It added some additional flavor but I think the meat was flavorful enough already, so in my opinion the consume really didn’t stand out. They give a lot of consume, way more than 3 tacos could handle, so if you like dipping your tacos, I’d recommend buying additional tacos or sharing it. It also comes with 3 sauces. The green sauce was like a jalapeño cream and was the mildest. The red sauce was like a smokey sauce and had a little kick. The orange was the spiciest. Not sure exactly what it was, but it was a creamy sauce.
So overall I would definitely go back as the tacos were very filling...
Read moreI love this place and will continue to patronize. I went in about 90 minutes before closing so it was almost a negative experience. But they did everything in their power to appease me. I ordered beef enchiladas expecting ground beef but they only had steak or brisket. I also ordered chicken, and jalapeno and cheese tamales. I was disappointed when a guy from the kitchen said we were out and only have chicken. The lady taking the order explained to me sorry she doesn't speak good English, but she did a great job of trying to accurately place the order. I didn't ask for a refund but while I waited for the order she came and showed me on her phone translator did I want a complimentary drink, I declined but I appreciated the gesture. Also when I got home I see they gave me a extra chicken tamale.. So I really appreciate them for going above and beyond to take care of me when they didn't have to. So I will definitely continue to go there and recommend. We all know it's impossible to please everyone everytime but they went all out tonight close to closing time on a busy...
