Update after owners response:
"We’d like to clarify a few points regarding your visit. Our server did approach you professionally to explain the situation and charges, and at that time you acknowledged and agreed before enjoying your refill. We do apologize for the delay in service—it was a busy evening, and while we strive to be prompt, occasional delays can happen."
Your server was very professional, agreed. But informing your patron that they are required to pay for something, does not imply that I agree at the trumped up cost of the hookah bowl. Like I said, money was not the issue, it is about the principle of it all. I guess you won't understand that, Ali.
Next,
"It was later, nearly two hours after you left, that you called the restaurant expressing frustration. Our owner attempted to resolve the matter with you over the phone, but the conversation became difficult. When asked about your reaction, you mentioned not wanting to make a scene in front of your friend, which we respect."
I'm sorry that I live far away from your restaurant. But lying about attempting to resolve the issue is really low. As YOU stated in your response that I kept my cool at the restaurant and obviously called some time after, so it means I wasn't really worked up. I told you on the phone that this was bad business and you lost a customer and you, as a owner said to me, "do whatever you want, write a review or don't come... all is the same.. we told you about the charge and you agreed!" To which I responded, did I have another option? Could I not pay and just leave?. That is how you attempted to resolve the issue??? I told the server that $50 is too much for a plain glass bowl and she looked afraid for her life.
Let's keep these reviews and responses honest, Ali.
I went with a friend, was seated. Served sheesha. While trying to shift the sheesha, the glass part broke. The server said the owner is asking that you pay $50+cost of sheesha for it because you are not supposed to move it, even though no one told me I can't move it. Very unusual and petty for a restaurant which should be insured for this kind of damage, is making customers pay. Then my replacement sheesha came 15 minutes before we were to leave. This is unfortunate for Brown businesses that only care about making money "now" even if you lose a returning customer. So I paid.
Point#2: I've been to this restaurant a few times and it seems like the crowd seems to be getting older and duller. Everyone around us was old (uncles and aunties). So if you're an uncle or auntie, you may enjoy some retired company and mediocre highly...
Read moreSHEESH that was the worst place i've ever eaten! If it was possible to leave 0 stars I absolutely would leave it for this restaurant. We sat down and the menus are on a QR code, which is fine. The server took our order around ten minutes after seating us and she had earbuds in and a headset, so when we took our order she could hardly hear what we were saying. I came in with a party of 6 and we noticed there was an automatic gratuity for 3 and up. I completely understand for 6 and up, but THREE and up was weird to me. Four of my friends order juices and they were $7 and up. The pomegranate juice was around $12 and in a pretty small glass…. Crazy. I ordered the masala fries which came out first and they were okay, just normal fries. My friends ordered butter chicken and the butter chicken tacos and they tasted very bland. I’ve had delicious butter chicken around the Dallas area and these ones tasted like nothing. My other friend ordered chicken biryani and it he received lamb. My sister order a chicken kebab plate and the pita bread was extremely stale, and my other friend ordered the chicken lollipops and she said they were good. A few minutes later, my friends had finished their meals, but my beef kabab had not come out yet. I had asked one of our servers and she said that the kitchen forgot about it and will take around 15 mins. I had it at that point. For around 20 minutes, servers kept on going up to us asking if everything is okay while I was still waiting on my food and we kept mentioning it. We asked the server who took our order and she said we already got it while pointing an empty plate. After another 3 times of servers asking us if everything thing is okay, I just told them to pack up my food because I wasn’t even hungry anymore. I finally got the beef kabab, tried it and was mushy.
Some other notes: There was no water on tap so they only had water bottle which are $2.50 Food was incredibly expensive for the potions. My group left hungry. Servers kept checking on us after knowing that my food was not out… like how many times do I have to tell you my foods not here? The server came back after ordering and said that 3 of the orders were unavailable so we had to reorder.
This place was just ridiculous from the prices to the service to the food. You should definitely do here if you want an awful dinner and a...
Read moreGreat place to unwind with friends. Hookah is the main thing here and most patrons seem to come here to enjoy thousand and one flavors of hookah. If you are not into hookah then the smell and smoke (neither were excessive) may turn you off. The ventilation is really good so no excessive smoke lingers around like some of the other places I have gone to. Pakistani food was delicious... very delicious. Everything we ordered had the authentic taste and it was made fresh. Samosas were tremendous and fresh with the excessive oiliness. Nihari was awesome... biryani was excellent... and Bihari kabobs were grilled to perfection. Nan were soft, fresh and exactly the way they should be for dipping into your Nihari sauce. What a treat for the senses and for your taste buds. We loved the food and took home some to double our pleasure. Service was hit and miss. It took a while to place the order but once it was in... it came quickly albeit piecemeal. Place is laid out nicely and chair are comfy for lounging and smoking. Separate glass screened room is available for small group events. At least two huge TVs had sports and bellywood movies playing... standard song and dance. No real drinks available here and that is a real bummer. You can't even bring your own stuff. Not cool... but I can appreciate the constraint. Virgin drinks with familiar names without the buzz and only slightly lower in price. We traveled long distance to come to this place and it did not disappoint; especially because food was so awesome. Thank you. If you are in Colony area and want to try some good authentic food... well this is the place. Come early for even less smoke and hookah smell....
