Great location with good lunch prices. It also has friendly service. I was disappointed with the food, it was bad Albanian style food. Once you see a giant unflavored roll, it’s always a tell tale sign of what’s to come.
I ordered a chicken parm to go with pasta. The chicken was over cooked and pasta was soup like. But worst of all is that the sauce had a sour taste.
However, down the block is a drastically better alternative - Good fellas - actual Italian food from NYC via Staten Island.
My favorite item there is the shrimp parm with fresh mozzarella and pasta for lunch (a coke and salad included) and it I also inexpensive, with a garlic knot.
Not only have I never owned a good fellas, like anyone, I give an honest review to help businesses lacking in quality control a chance to help themselves.
The owner has only to eat his own food to see it is poor tasting with a non Italian trained chef.
Although he has said they’re is not Albanian ownership - that doesn't mean that Albanians don’t make good quality food.
In fact, an Albanian owned place I know that makes great pizza is Italia in Allen premium outlets. (I just hope I’m not falsely accused of owning it, too).
Shame on you. Sadly, without a drastic change, it’s maybe a year at most before you’re out of business. And in your case for being unprofessional and not open to serving...
Read moreI hadn’t tried the food so this rating isn’t against the food. The waiter/host at the front when you walk in, male. I walk in, didn’t greet me or anything. I stood there a few seconds, kinda did a half smile with raised eyebrows(couldn’t see my smile under my mask though.) He finally says hi, I say hello. He didn’t say anything else.
So I stood there, then was asked if I was picking up, I said no, dining in. He picks up a menu and then asked me if I wanted a booth or table. Told him the booth was fine. He puts the menu down on the table and walks away. Didn’t ask if I wanted anything to drink or to let me know someone will be with me to take my order.
I look over the menu but from the initial interaction with waiter/host , I decided to leave. Mind you, it was my first time there tonight, and I came because it had good reviews. I placed the menu back at his desk and told him I changed my mind.
I’ll go back to try the food but it’ll be minute...
Read moreWe had a large family dinner for Father’s Day. They had a separate room available to accommodate us. They took our reservations by phone. They were not overly busy and crowded thankfully. The location was easy to find and right off the highway. The food was as delicious. Everyone at the table were pleased with their food. I had the pasta sampler. It’s three kinds of pasta in one dish smothered with sauce and cheese. It was perfect! I really couldn’t tell exactly where one pasta started and the other ended in the dish except the manicotti. The taste was phenomenal and the manicotti was by far my favorite. I think it was about $11 or $12 and it does not come with a salad. They do serve fresh bread on the table for everyone. It was delicious and warm. I definitely enjoyed the meal. We brought our own wine because this restaurant is BYOB. We found it to be more economical for a large group. I would recommend...
