Been a customer of this place for a while and while though I can understand that instances can occur which are forgivable today reached a point that was inexcusable. If you are just a party of one go elsewhere because this place only cares about customers with larger parties.
It took over 20 minutes just to get a table for one. Place was busy but when your the only one waiting in the front area and already given your name for a table it shouldn't take two employees who work the front area to keep asking who were you and did you give your name for a table when it was already done. The same two employees that had taken my name for a table in the first place. Further noticed that about 2 tables and a booth were already cleaned as the place was dying down that I could have been placed in but didn't happen until much later.
When given the order that took about another 20 minutes to get my food which was already cold. Not mildly cool, straight out cold.At this point it took 40 minutes just to get my order so since I was starving at this point I ate it anyways. While doing so I had one worker constantly nag me if I was done with my plate which I still was eating from. Seemed a message was being given they wanted me out of there quick. Never done anything or said anything to upset anyone so that had me baffled. Contact with the waiter was barely done so didn't ask for anything other than a refill of coffee and just the check.
Additionally, the manager or someone who clearly was in charge came out to apologies to all of the other customers who may have had delayed orders but need to point out again this was for parties of 4 or more people. Clearly seen me yet said nothing.
This place use to be great to eat at but seems their policy is only to give service to more larger...

I genuinely don’t even know where to begin. If you’re looking for a restaurant where the staff treats you like your presence is an inconvenience, look no further. you’ve found it.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was off. We weren’t greeted just silently stared at, as if we’d interrupted an important gossip session. No smile, no “hello,” no warmth of any kind. Just blank stares and bad energy.
We politely asked to move tables because the one we were originally seated at simply didn’t work for our group. Mind you, the restaurant was nearly empty. Still, this simple request apparently required a manager’s approval and was treated like we were asking for something outrageous.
Then came our server—if you can even call her that. She barely made eye contact, answered questions with one-word responses, and audibly sighed anytime we asked something about the menu. It was clear she didn’t want to be there, and she made sure we knew it too.
And to top it off, this was supposed to be a Father’s Day breakfast something we were hoping would feel special. Instead, it felt like we were being punished for choosing to eat here.
Final verdict: This wasn’t just bad service it was openly unfriendly. The staff treated us like a burden, and basic courtesy seemed like too much to ask. Spend your money somewhere else somewhere that actually values...
Read moreBarney's cafe is definitely a place I would come back to so that I can try something new next time!
The food was cooked perfectly! Everything was simple, yet very decadent. They even have a healthier option to cater towards a lower caloric meal. The pancakes take you on a rollercoaster of flavors and textures... Definitely want to try more of these! Really appreciate the variety they offer as well!
The food is very affordable! I highly appreciate this part of the service... Allowing anyone and everyone to enjoy this amazing spot!
The service is also fantastic considering how busy they are! There can be a small wait sometimes since this is a popular spot, but it is with it.
The only constructive criticism I could give this place would be.. The coffee is a little overpriced. 3 bucks for a cup is a little too high... Since you can get coffee from a gas station for a dollar and IHOP charges 2. Also maybe it was an off day, but the coffee was a little too strong. I think another quality of life addition would be a public WiFi.
Still 5/5! I am looking forward to coming back and trying new things! Also please... PLEASE! Look into getting a nutrition book for the food y'all serve! This was my biggest concern...
