I personally had a very fine experience with Elizabeth's on main last night...6 of us drove about an hour away to support a friend playing guitar at the newly opened Average Joe's tap room. Joe's does not serve food, so we opted for take out from Elizabeth's. Purchased two 16 inch pies, and a personal 10' for the youngest of the group. So It's Saturday night at 6:45. What looked to be the matriarch of the establishment was extremely friendly despite a full restaurant and everything that comes along with that swirling around her. Multiple tickets above the grill made me at least think for a second; "this might take a while" or "this order is bound to be messed up in some kinda way"---Oh well, we'll see...Got my order in just before 7, it was brought out at 7:20...what seemed to be the expediter (25-30 year old with glasses) was on his job throughout, making sure ticket numbers were connected,... with takeout and in house orders coming out of the kitchen on pace. I explained our circumstance of eating at another establishment and they made sure I left with plenty of disposable plates, flatware, extra napkins, parmesan and garlic salt. The building itself is a fairly small place, and has been there a long time, so there's only so much paint you can throw on it. Overall I would easily return if I'm ever in the Thomasville area again. Pizza was excellent as was the service. Having worked in restaurants and catering, I would urge people who write bad reviews to always consult with management when things go awry, most establishments WANT you to get the right order in a timely fashion, they WANT things to go smoothly and will often accommodate LEGITIMATE concerns.(translation: most everybody's doing the best they can, try not to be a whiner over small stuff and give...
Read moreThe location is hidden for I almost passed it, but some of that could have been my GPS. Nevertheless, yesterday was my first time visiting this location. Your location could have received a perfect score. The reason I did not give a 5 star rating is because your establishment just like many other restaurants fail to deliver on customer service. Before asking what one wants to drink, let's at least state your name! I want to know who my server is. I had to ask my server for her name. A customer should not have to ask first! My server was Marianne. She was pleasant and polite. Somebody in the kitchen messed up and forgot my olives for my salad. She brought that to me. No worries, but the back of house should pay attention to detail. Crackers should also be given with a salad. Small extras matter in this world today. I forgot to mention that there was a sincere greeting upon entering and a heartfelt goodbye while leaving. Kudos. I will return. The food was amazing! I don't have pictures right now. I would recommend the fried mushrooms, the salad with everything in it (antipasta) ? , the baked ziti, and garlic knots and I'm not a garlic lover. Lastly, music was playing in the restaurant. Nice music, but it drowned out our conversation. Some songs might be a trigger for lost loved ones so I would cut the radio. ...
Read moreBeen coming to this location in Thomasville for years and itâs always been so good. We ate supper here last Saturday night. The worst food we have ever had here. My husband got Lasagna. This was the worst looking lasagna we had ever seen. It was a small tube that resembled a small cannoli shape, with marinara sauce just poured over it. The inside was a odd gray color. Usually lasagna is baked in a dish. This just had some cheese sprinkled over the sauce. I ordered baked spaghetti and it was nowhere near baked. It was some spaghetti noodles with marinara sauce poured over them and some square cheese melted on top. Nothing like a normal baked spaghetti. The garlic knots we got were the size of pecans. We didnât see the owner in there and said we wouldnât have gotten that horrible food if she was there. When the kid at the register asked us how our meal was I said that it wasnât like it normally is. He never acknowledged my comment or even looked up at us, just rang up the bill. Our experience was so disappointing because we were excited about...
