Santiago's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Thornton

Went there at 7 This Sat evening with my daughter, we both have quite a few years of server experience so we know when a server is busy or inexperienced and trying hard. Well sad to say or service was terrible, Sat ourselves and waited 5 minutes to be greeted n given menus, there were 2 servers and including us 5 tables. After receiving food , my daughter asked for silverware cuz there was none, server went to kitchen,came out and proceeded to bus and clean another table and walked in n out of kitchen doing whatever for another 5 min when she looked at me and went n got silverware. By now all tables except us are gone. Never came and checked on us or refilled drinks. Took 3 min for salsa I requested..had to ask 2 times. Put empty plates at the end of table to show we were done, Waited another few minutes then as server was walking by we got her attention n asked for our check..the other server was sitting at table behind us counting tickets or whatever.. We're giving the benefit of the doubt and saying both of these girls were very inexperienced and need more training. And need to also learn teamwork..if 1 is busy or forgetful, the other can step in and say something or help..I like Santiagos food, I come q for takeout often, please look into this, I'd hate to see you lose business for something that...

My son and I walked in, sign said to seat yourself.We chose a booth...dirty. Our waitress approached, literally threw 2 menues on the table and asked if we were ready to order...really? I told her I would like to look at the venue for a moment.She walked off.No water, no drink offer just rude.Finaly after about 10 minutes of watching her so at another table eating lemons with salt, she got up took our order and then after 5 minutes she brings my coffee and my sons drink.I had to get up after to ask if I could get a side of beans.She was rude, in attentive to her customers.Talking to her mom and co employees but not even once did she ask if I would like some more coffee.Not once! I had to ask her! The food was served, the side of beans,maybe 3 tablespoons) arrived with my meal in a very small bowl.The food was served, empty drinks and very scrappy service and attitude! The bill came and it was almost $20 for breakfast , ...very disappointed.I would never give them my business again nor would I recommend it to others....I would have rated them a zero but it...

I love Santi's, but this location is the worst. Service is never great at all locations, but it's good cheap food. I've done big online orders for events from this location, called day before to confirm, etc. and they have completely missed the order. Today, it took 30 minutes from time of order to get one handheld burrito. I went in, told them I had an online order, was told it would be out soon, my name was never called. Burrito was just sitting there getting cold until I checked again as I was running late to work. I know they are very busy, but there were 3 staff behind the counter alone. Then the burrito was soooo dry! Handheld lunch burritos should have just as much chile as your breakfast burritos! Potatoes, rice, cheese, and green chile are so good together if it actually is soaked in chile and not just the measly scrapings off the bottom of the pot; it was probably one teaspoon total. Not worth the $5. Staff are very inefficient. Will I go back? Of course, but man...
