I have been here maybe a dozen times and never had an issue until yesterday afternoon. I was picking up some lunch before I had to go back to work. A spicy chicken chimichanga meal. I picked it up and went back to work. I started to eat and noticed it was not chicken. It was some beef stuff with onions and peppers.
I called them immediately and told them what I had was not what I ordered. The lady there apologized. I told her I could not come back as I was at work but I could come by when I get off. After midnight. She took my name and the time I would be back so she can issue me a refund.
I come back after midnight and go to the window. This little boy comes up and asks what do I want. I told him I am coming back for my refund after an order mix up earlier in the day. He says "No." I asked him what does he mean "No". The lady from earlier took my name and time I will be back. She also said I will get a refund.
He asks me what did I order. I tell him and then he slams the sliding door in my face. I tried to ask him what was he doing but he ignored me. He comes back to the door about 10 minutes later and hands me a bag with food. I said, "No, I am not hungry. I was told I will get a refund." It wasn't like I will never be back to Taco Star after that, but wrong is wrong.
I told him to check to see if she left any messages. He said "No." Then I asked who was the lady manager who worked this afternoon. He said "I don't know. I don't know who works here." , then slammed the door in my face again and walked away. This boy was extremely rude and talked to me as if I was lying.
I will call and ask for a manager again in the morning and hopefully she gets this worked out. And after it is worked out, I will never come to this location again. He had a...
Read moreIf your food is burnt or not to your satisfaction, TOUGH, deal with it. No such thing as satisfaction or your money back here at the Taco Star, not even if you bring it back uneaten.
I eat here late night all the time, but today I got a taco and a side of rice for my fiance- I wanted to introduce him to my new favorite taco shop after he worked hard labor all day, but what I got was a taco with burnt beef and a whole lot of attitude.
When I brought it back, half of it bit off and SPIT BACK into the wrapper, the lady at the window would not return my money, denied it was burnt and tried to explain a taco to me and when I started to get upset she claimed, "You already ate like half of it so I can give you like a dollar, thats it." I told her no it was my fiance who tried it and then spit it back out there." And she just shook her head. I said, "Fine, then just give me my dollar and the rice back. But I think it's absolutely ridiculous that I gave you the taco back and you're not giving me my money so whatever just give me the rice and dollar." And she said, "Ok, I'm gonna give you your stuff back but you need to calm down, LADY." Then she slammed the window shut.
So don't voice your frustrations over these employees or their incompetence or you will be met with attitude- not an ounce of professionalism. But what would you expect from the mindless window wench and the clown crew at Taco Star? Apparently I expected too much.
I never return food and if I do, it's really bad and I expect a refund- especially when I didn't eat it! Since when does ANY restaurant not refund a customer who BRINGS THEIR FOOD BACK UNEATEN?! Too bad they won't be getting my money anymore over a $2.50 taco. Cuz I bought a taco a day, I swear....
Read moreI love the food here. It always tastes amazing. But not one time have they ever got my order right. And its not just me. Everyone i know that has ate here says the same thing. They cant get an order right to save there life. I like to get a green, smoothed burrito, sometimes carne asada, sometimes shredded chicken. With beans and rice on the side, with a side of sour cream and guacamole. I've got a burrito, not smoothered with green sauce, with guacamole and sour cream mixed all in my rice, I've got a smothered burrito with the beans and rice inside instead of on the side. But for some reason rather I speak Spanish to them or not if my friend orders it, they can't give me what I order, a smothered burrito with the beans and rice on the side and a side of sour cream and guac. Really not that hard. It's a shame and such a hassle because like I said there food is good. They just need better employees. I live fairly close so I have went here a lot just hoping that one time just one time they will get it right. I'm always so upset when I leave there. I really don't get it. It's not a difficult order. In fact it's on the menu. Im affraid to order anything else for fear of what they might give me. So please please please taco star get better employees, ones that r bi lingual and have better customer service skills. I might add that I've only gone there for dinner, after 5pm, 7pm. Maybe the day crew is better but we really need to fire the night crew and get better people in here. Oh and heaven forbid u order through uber eats. U wont get anything close to what u ordered and its too expensive for your order to be wrong. Very...
