Urbane Cafe — Restaurant in Thousand Oaks

I usually get the power veggie salad with chicken added here but decided to get a sandwich this time. The salads are nice and filling but a little lacking in chicken considering I pay extra for it.

I expected I would get two full loaves of bread in my sandwich but it's one loaf of bread cut in half to make a sandwich so their sandwiches are really half sandwiches. The bread is delicious and VERY filling. I think... the highlight of the meal. All in all pretty good for the price. However, I think I prefer the salads and add on extra bread - if you must have it. It's the more guiltless option. Again, I just wish they'd increased the protein portion, if you pay for it as an add on. At nearly $4 more to add on a protein, more than 2 ounces would be nice. I'm not sure how much they put on it but, again, it seems lacking a bit.

Love this place. It's a great healthy option, if you keep the bread consumption in check, but there's always that little voice in my head that says "I hope get a little more...
