I recently had the pleasure of dining at Flat Rock Grill, and I must say, the experience was exceptional, thanks in large part to our server, Aaliyah Perry.

From the moment we were seated, Aaliyah made us feel incredibly welcome. Her warm and friendly demeanor set the tone for a fantastic meal. She was attentive without being overbearing, always there when we needed her, and she seemed to have a sixth sense for when to check in on us.

Aaliyah’s knowledge of the menu was impressive. She was able to answer all of our questions and made excellent recommendations based on our tastes. Her enthusiasm for the dishes was contagious, and we ended up trying a few items we might not have otherwise ordered - all of which were delicious!

The food at Flat Rock Grill was outstanding, but Aaliyah’s service truly elevated our dining experience. She was quick to accommodate special requests and went out of her way to ensure that we had everything we needed. Her professionalism and genuine care for her customers are rare qualities that made our visit unforgettable.

This was the first time coming here. My husband and myself decided to come here for dinner. Unfortunately, it'll be difficult to return. It didn't start off on the best foot, when we sat down it took an awful long time for our waiter to greet us. The hostess had to get our drinks due to the wait. She seems pretty consumed in a different table majority of the night. Drinks didn't get filled without requesting twice. Husband ordered the walleye fish sandwich, which turned out chewy and hard. It wasn't edible. He requested no tarter sauce, it came with it. I ordered the grilled chicken and avocado wrap. Which I picked specifically due to the avocado and GOAT cheese that was supposed to be on it. I got a wrap that looked great but lacked enough avocado to taste it, chicken was dry, and it came with BLUE cheese. Blue cheese and goat cheese are the not the same. I also requested ranch with my fries and didn't get that. The small details were being missed. The fries were good, probably the best thing we got there.... And the ladies here did try to do their best to make things right. I will give them that. My husband got a smash burger in replace of his dry fish, that was edible but was flavorless. Stopped in after shopping for brunch. We were in before lunch time probably around 11. Server was nice but not super attentive it took almost 20 minutes before she came back to take our order after drinks came & stopped by about 5minutes after our food came. We didn't see her again until she brought the bill. We got smash burgers which were really good in flavor but mine was not fully "smashed" one end was thicker than the other & still pink. We got a side salad, in addition to the fries that it came with, but pretty disappointed there; see picture. This was served on a plate meant to hold a coffee cup, came deconstructed, & was missing cheese. Not sure if that was actually what was supposed to come out or not we waited a bit for the server but my husband just ate it. It was literally 1 bite of lettuce & this was $6!!! The ranch it came with was delicious tho! We go out to eat often & while the food was good the price to value is just not there to make it somewhere we'd make the drive to.
