Turkish Cuisine — Restaurant in Tigard

Half the food was ok (fries bad, main food was ok) but definitely not worth the price. Service was terrible, I said the usual hello’s and thank you’s, he didn’t say hello, help with any type of selection, didn’t even ask if I wanted a drink. Instead rang up the food and walked off. I paid but it was awkward and I didn’t realize until I saw others walk up with a buzzer that I should have had one for when my food was ready, so I went and asked for one. When it was ready, I got my food, again said thank you, and he again said nothing and walked off. Unfortunately he seemed to be selective of the way folks looked (I won’t go into detail) in regard to being friendly and professional. This wonderful restaurant replaced the Taco Time in the Summit Food Court at Washington Square. We've enjoyed the food every time. The team members are so kind and helpful, especially the beautiful lady who usually takes the orders. Tory loves the lamb, served on-the-bone or sliced. Our daughter's favorite is the falafel. And, I love the beef! We've been impressed with everything we've tried. The hibiscus iced tea is great, too. Portions are HUGE (often enough for 3 meals) and most dishes are served with a generous portion of pita. Customers will receive a beeper to let them know when their meal is ready. All meals are prepared to order, and good food can take some time....

I travel for work all over and I usually eat out everyday at various restaurants. I’m a fan of Mediterranean food. Decided to give this place a try. Let me tell you the food was not fresh (Kebob tasted sour like it’s almost gone bad and was microwaved, freezer taste). DONT be deceived by all the 5 star ratings. Probably made his/her friends write them for them. Portland has so many other good places for Mediterranean food, I’d suggest you try that. This place is so conflicted in a way where their sign has a golden state bridge, calls themselves Turkish but has Egyptian, Iraqi, Turkish food? Stick to one theme like what’s going on?
