I was really excited about trying out Livi's Taqueria in the morning, 2 days ago, to one hostile woman. Looking at these reviews, it seems as though other people have ran into the same angry, hostile lady. Excitement was immediately shut down, which is sad since I haven't had any authentic tacos since my move here from black hole Vancouver. I'll be trying not to think that everyone in Tigard with a food cart is angry like that...Vancouver sucked but at least people were usually nice when they cooked your food!
My phone needed a charge because I wanted to work on my business's website, so I located a plug in and then proceeded to open my wallet to buy a couple tacos and a margarita on that upcoming warm afternoon. The angry lady was telling me that, "This es no working!" Over and over, I mean, I am in the future thrift/security business, I am not in what I am assuming is, the HVAC business? What isn't working? Is it the overhead fans? Is it that a part of the grill won't heat to temp? I mean, I have been slaving away as a cook for 15 years in Vancouver and have been known to be pretty impressionable. I don't think I am THAT well-known over here in Tigard, so I don't think it could be that... What isn't working, dear Livi? I live down the street, I can come in and prep while you figure it out? Want me to drop my resume in?
Regardless of that, I felt bad I couldn't help her with whatever wasn't working, but to be completely rude to me about it was absurd. It's not my fault that, "this es no working," but to take it out on someone who just wanted to drop by, work on their website and have a couple tacos and a drink, is completely astounding. If you don't like your job, or are frustrated customers are coming in, then shut down if something "es not working," or take a vacation. Smoke a joint and relax for a second, I mean, that is a weed store next door, isn't it? I don't know because I quit smoking weed awhile ago.
Was my cart of cans a little unsettling to you? My cart is brand new and on it's first day of hauling some much needed income for me. Starting a business I have always dreamed about can get very pricey. Someone trying to get by in life with cans and bottles a little scary? I'd think its safe to say from the other reviews on this page, that it looks like YOU are headed that way if you don't quit being rude to people. And for God's sake, quit shaking your spatula at me. I am not a child.
Supporting small business is something I love to do. Why? Because our local economy is important to take care of and I am also going to be a SB, too. An LLC like you are, or a "DBA" is something I will be registering as by the end of this month. A step that I am currently working on is designing my own business card, which is so fun! Like I said earlier, I do live in the area, maybe I'll drop one off to you. That way, you have my contact info just in case something es no working, or we can chit-chat about our careers and vent. As I said earlier, I can find you good deals on carts that carry bottles efficiently and you'll see that not everyone using one is a "homeless criminal" or "vagrant."
The street tacos and burritos are some things I have been told to try out, but... "Hot food over a hot temper," is what I say. No need to scare away your paycheck! Now, this star I give and I wish it could have been more for your taqueria is to that lovely lady who has been helping me with my small business every now and then. You keep rocking that smile, sweetheart! Livi, I am here, (assuming that you are the one that has the balls to run your business in the ground), for you and just a reminder, put down that spatula! It's not nice to shake things at customers when you are frustrated!
Sincerely from one local small business to another, Taliea Q trollin' treasures and trinkets© , (almost) LLC. (Ill update it when its official. How about I hold my congratulatory party at your place?
PS, you should update your Facebook. You obviously don't want people to know that you're treating family that way, since "customers are like...
Read moreThe atmosphere and service were good but the food... Now I am never one to call out a restaurant unless I found a hair, or something really bad happened, but I had to share our experience of this poor excuse for Mexican Food so that no one else has to endure the disappointment we did. We came to Livi's HUNGRY! Like gnawing on each other's limbs hungry. We found Livi's was close and open later, as it was around 9 pm. We spent almost $65 on 4 carne asada tacos, 3 tacos of carnitas, and 2 carne asada burrito, and 2 cokes. Now, we have absolutely no issues spending our hard earned money on good food, but I honestly cooked better food in my fire place during the ice storm last year! I nearly broke a tooth on the hard carne asada and was tempted to soak it in the bath of oil at the bottom of my white to-go container to moisten it up a little like the person who made my food did but instead, I fed it to my dog who will eat meat out of a garbage can when we are not looking. She enjoyed it. I also did not appreciate the lack of salsa provided with our meals. I mean who does that? this IS Mexican food, right? Luckily, I had some leftover salsa in the fridge that we got for FREE from another Mexican food cart (La Morenita Ricos Tacos) that we will never ever cheat on again, to provide some sort of flavor. Seriously, Livi, you need to step up your food game to be considered a "Taqueria" or even a food cart, for...
Read moreVery standoffish staff, tried to refuse my lottery ticket at the time of lottery close because they obviously either didn't know how to redeem the ticket or did not want to have to close out the machines for the day . For whatever reason it isn't the first time or the only employee that has been uncooperative. I felt motivated to report the incident to the appropriate offices but in the end when I made it clear I wasn't going away they did actually catch the ticket out. I don't know if it's that they don't like people who only play lottery or maybe it's just inconvenient for them but most of the attitudes of the employees here towards people that just use the lottery or not good they're very like a snooty is a good word and brief and not engaging I've never once been welcomed into that place or offered anything to drink. No welcome in no thanks have a great night just very cold and uninterested attitude towards lotto players. I have eaten here several times and the experience was not remarkable enough to comment. The food is on par but expensive compared to other places if the same style in the area . One thing I do suggest that anyone check out is the juice and dessert bar located inside the building nextdoor to the truck it's amazing and I wish it got more attention bcuz even by itself would make a great business in its...
