I rarely leave reviews for anything. However, visit this Wendy’s after breakfast at your own risk. My husband enjoys certain things from there, so I begrudgingly go on occasion.
This Wendy’s is superior to any restaurant I’ve visited for breakfast. The young man who works the window is kind, efficient, and quick. He’s very polite and always apologetic even when he shouldn’t be. The older male manager there during breakfast is not kind at all and borders on being rude. He basically hands you your bag and slams the window like he’s mad he has to work the drive thru. However, I have only had to deal with him a handful of times. Ultimately, breakfast is always hot and exactly how I ordered it with nothing missing.
Lunch/dinner is a nightmare. The employees are extremely slow and ill-mannered, even when there are no other cars there and they’re properly staffed. You’re almost made to feel as if you’re interrupting their relaxation time. If you go through the drive thru, they handle one car from start to finish before they’ll take another. They only ever have one window open.
I’ve had numerous (15+) times over the past year where I’ve had food forgotten, rude employees even when you’re simply ordering (not being difficult), a female manager(?) who takes it upon herself to make substitutions without asking, huge waits at the window, soggy/over sauced burgers, cold food, something important being out of inventory, and enployees just doing awful things. The awful things include sneezing/wiping face without washing hands, handling money then directly touching food, standing around on phones or joking around while customers wait, filthy dining area, and just plain rudeness, always without any kind of apology. I’ve even seen the female night managers(?) family(?) there going behind the counter and into the kitchen to get things, her and others serving them before paying customers, her child there with an entire lounge space setup at the only clean table (which, ok… you have to work… I wish more jobs would allow you to do this in an emergency) but the child’s father and his friends are also there during this time just hanging out, eating for free, being loud/making everyone uncomfortable, and taking up several tables.
This kind of stuff should not be going on in a restaurant. I am really unsure why Wendy’s allows this business to stay open. I see cars angrily drive off every single time I visit.
Hopefully this will be worked out and we can have a decent Wendy’s sometime in the future but this place needs an entire revamp. It’s really unfortunate because there is already so little to choose from in this area of Toledo. Crossing my fingers these reviews by paying customers will be heard...
Read moreNight shift is horrible. Came inside to grab a quick meal. There were cars around the building. The dining room cashier didn’t greet us. When she finally acknowledged that we were there she said one moment. Order was taken and I waited.
Dining room chili was half empty, dry, disgusting. Nobody cared about it. Maybe if you’re going to be that careless and gross, don’t let your customers see it when they await their food… girl at the fry station was drinking something, then wiped her hands on her pants/sides - honestly again, disgusting… you work with food. There was a lot of cups (that the workers were drinking) all around the back counters. Near the sandwich stations everyone was talking and standing around… even though I was waiting for my sandwich and there was probably at least 10 cars around the building.
Once I finally got my good and went back to the Pilot, I wasn’t surprised that the sandwich was done wrong. But not only that my specific requests weren’t added (add simple tomato) but the basic sandwich was missing cheese sauce, bacon and barely had any pepper jack cheese. Since it was so dry, only juices was from the jalapeños (at least the person making it put some of those) just threw everything away and grabbed some snacks from the Pilot.
Can’t even blame that it’s the night shift because it is the manager that allows this to happen. Don’t go to this location. Unsanitary, slow, careless and...
Read moreI went to wendys on alexis rd by menards and Meijer on 10-18 for lunch when I ordered my food everything went well until I got to the first window to pay, now pf course it's typically frowned upon in most cases to add something when you get to the payment window, when I asked the girl at the drive through window if I could substitute my fries for baconator fries she politely said to hold for a moment, which I was fine with, but her manager came to the register with a really shitty attitude that I did not appreciate she also took some of that put on her worker on the register, so when we went to pay something was wrong again so the girl at the register politely asked us to hold for a moment again and when her manager came back the second time she had an even worse attitude than she did the first time. I feel this was very unprofessional for her to talk to her employer that way that is now how a manager should treat their employees, I also would not have been mad if they said no i would have been completely fine, but when I saw what she had to deal with because her manager had to do her job was uncalled for. The manager definitely needs to go through training on how to treat her employees in the workplace. That is how you lose...
