My daughter and I recently took a small detour from our long drive, enticed by the prospect of a warm cup of Starbucks coffee. Though slightly off the beaten track, this Starbucks outlet quickly proved that it was worth every extra minute spent reaching it.

The moment we stepped in, Laiken, one of their staff members, greeted us with a warm smile and a welcoming demeanor. Her wit and vibrant personality made us feel instantly at home, and her service was impeccable, leaving nothing to be desired. Her efforts shone as a sterling example of the level of customer service that has made Starbucks a favorite stop for many of us during our travels.

I'd like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the management team for fostering such a positive and customer-centric environment. The quality of staff like Laiken, and the emphasis on superior service, truly underscores the culture of excellence within the company.

5th time's a charm...

We visited this Starbucks on the way to and from Colorado on a long road trip.

The first time through the service was very friendly and fast, but our order was wrong.

The second time through was a total trainwreck. I'm not sure if the barista on the drive thru was new, but she was really struggling.

I ordered two drinks (Trenta vanilla iced coffee and a tall salted caramel mocha), and two waters.

She told me the total and it was way too high, so I asked her to read the order back to me.

She had four drinks, including a hot tea drink and a cold foam cold brew drink.

I tried to correct her and she kept talking over me, which went on for about 30 seconds. Finally I had to ask her to delete the whole order and start over.

I reordered the same thing and she read back three drinks instead of two, including a hot tea drink.

This went on two more times!

I finally had to say, "No one wants any tea, stop putting it on the order!"

The fifth time she said, "Someone else is going to process the order, please hold on."

A different person got on the order and once again, had three drinks on the order instead of two.

I corrected him and he finally got the order right.

This whole interaction took nearly 5 minutes and not only was I perturbed by the end, I had a line of cars behind me that were frustrated and even honking.
