I rolled through the drive-thru to grab a bite to eat when my son had a nearby medical appointment. After a quick review of the website we settle on what to get. Let's jump right into this review.
What did we get - 2-piece chicken joy meal (two orders) - spicy or original - comes with fries and a drink $13
The chicken was crispy. Biscuit was OK. Nothing spectacular! The fries were decent. I got a side of mashed potatoes that I was not impressed with.
There are other sides as well: mac n' cheese, white rice, adobo rice, and spaghetti
Pros The chicken is crispy! Just how I like it. This was a huge hit with me - that first bite I could hear (lol).
Drive-thru was quick. No line.
Cons Customer service was OK. The employee who took our order was nice but she overcharged me. I wasn't happy about that. She was rude but she wasn't friendly either.
Menu is a bit confusing on what comes in the meal and what is an additional up-charge.
Something else to note: I didn't go inside but I could see that there is a dine-in area. Jollibee is in the same lot as In-N-Out so don't confuse the lines.
Overall, I would consider purchasing again. I frequent this area for medical appointments and it's nice to have something other than In-N-Out,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wanted to try this since itās right next to a really busy In n Out. The Google Maps wait time indicated it was a pretty good time to show up ānot too busyā so I gave it a shot. I ordered the chicken strips, fries and a drink. I was told that it would be an extra 10 minutes for the strips, and I said ok, cause who thinks +10 is going to mean 35 minutes overall? I was in the drive thru for 20 minutes before I got to the window, another 10 minutes parked to get my order, and another 3-5 minutes to get my drink, cause they didnāt bring it out with the chicken or give it to me at the window.
I wish it was with it. The fries were good, beverage was standard, the gravy and honey mustard sauces were fine.
The chicken strips looked crispy, but they were pretty thin, and so chewy. So chewy and stringy. Not dry like beef jerky. Somehow they were moist inside, but each bite reminded me of rubbery chicken skin. The flavor was ok, but after eating 3 chicken strips and a few fries I felt the effect of the fried food.
I really, really hope they get their routines down and speed up their service. If the service was fast I would give it 3-4 stars, but Iāll pass on rubbery chicken strips and just stick to that other place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wanted to try Jollibee because I had heard good things about the food, and it was good but definitely not worth the 45 minute wait in the drive thru line. I actually had my car in park for a while and had time to look up the menu on my phone. Luckily for me I did not have a time constraint when I went because there is no way out of the drive thru line once you're in, so I couldn't have left if I wanted to unless I wanted to crash through their planters.
Customer service is also not their forte. After all of that wait there was not a "Sorry for the wait" or anything like that from any one - the person taking the order or the person at the window (not sure if it was the same person). They spoke pleasantly but that is not the same as good customer service. Just an acknowledgment of any kind that they appreciate my patience for waiting so long would have been nice. Especially since I was not one of the customers who gave them an earful when I got to the order speaker (the SUV in front of me did and so did the person in the car behind me)
I won't be back any time soon but do hope they fix the time issues because after a while, no matter how good the food is, people will...
