McDonald's — Restaurant in Torrance

This review is not about the Store Staff of McDonald’s . They define lovely human spirit, like Trader Joe’s. This is about Corporate: Franchisees that in my POV is define villain. Allow me to explain. Restrooms at this and all Mcd were closed during Covid. Understood! So needing to pee meant walking over to the nearest grocery store or pharmacy.

ARE THOSE PEOPLE WORKING AT THOSE STORES LESS EQUAL? Or less susceptible to Covid virus? Starbucks, McDonald’s, Arco AmPm were not doing a favor being open. They were open to make profitable sales and their revenue: profits prove that they succeeded. At the cost of US who had to carry a jug in the car, just in case?

Grocery Stores stepped up as Food Service Behemoths getting rich selling high fat high sugar high profits retreated from being decently human. If a Sprouts could, so could McD in the same parking lot!

I now get breakfast sandwich at Chick fil A which tastes better than McDonald’s, get coffee drinks and coffee at Peet’s or Illy (for French Press and Keurig). And in a way glad that their dirty abrogation of human decency made me discover great coffee! Major Dickason and Illy are fantastic and not much more than Starbucks.

The MOST amazing courtesies were provided by an operator of Chevron Stations in RPV, Indio etc. I think they are called G&M: their stores were clean and restrooms cleaner and available to all. I switched to Chevron which costs more than Arco because I did not have to go in a bottle like I had to when refused restroom access by the AmPm stocked to the rafters by beverages!

Seems to be a nice McDonald's restaurant but the restrooms are always filthy and they have to buzz you in.

The bathroom was so bad one time I actually took photos and sent them to corporate. This is really astonishing, especially considering that I knew ther owner beefie he passed away and he kept the place spotless and had all of his kids working in ther operation too...

But since he passed a few years back I haven't seen hide nor hair of any of the family members. It's like their just letting it run on autopilot.

To be fair, the rest of the public areas of ther restaurant are kept tidy, the young staff is friendly, and ther kitchen appears to be clean, sanitary, and it runs efficiently...

But the restrooms of an establishment that are foul and without supplies makes you wonder if.... Well I don't need to spell it out - if there's no toilet paper or paper towels how does one wash their hands?

Awesome surf based motif aside, a little bleach and some scrubbing and replacing toiletries would go a long way to restore confidence in...

One of the worst McDonald’s in Torrance if not ever.

If you have ever seen the movie Zootopia and remember the DMV scene. This place was the inspiration for that scene.

The employees move at a snails pace. The drive thru for some reason takes an ungodly amount of time for orders.

Don’t even get me started on customer service. It basically doesn’t exist. They also prey on those who speak limited English.

Case in point, there was a person ahead of me in line who had their order come out wrong and it was a 1-2 dollar difference. Maybe not worth the refund right? I agree whole heartedly. But the principle, you overcharged a customer.

So why not do the decent common sense thing in regards to customer service and offer a free item that is 1-2 dollars to cover the difference? Nope.

Instead they told her to kick rocks.

Not ok.

Management:

Get better. Also tell the homeless people around your store to move and GTF off your property and for them to stop threatening people in the restaurant...
