First thought: it was one of the best burgers I have eaten from a burger shop in the last years, however I think it has some room for improvement. (4.3 stars I would say) Details: I ordered a cheeseburger for 11.25 USD. The price is normal. If you take fries and drinks extra its plus 4 USD, which makes it good value. The burger was made relatively fast. The Burger tasted really well rounded. The bun was nice and fluffy. The beef was tasty and fatty with some crust. Lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions seemed fresh. In my opinion there was a bit too much lettuce. If you remove some lettuce you probably also don't run into the problem of the burger not properly build together (see picture). The sauce fit well, especially with the lettuce. It reminded me a bit of a salat dressing. The sauce was a bit runny, hence eating it was a bit of a mess. On the other side when the beef was out at one bite, it recovered the flavour really good for the rest of the burger. Also there could have been some more onions on it (maybe also add a caramelized onions option :)). A touch for me was missing however, maybe use an other kind of seasoned pickles, which have more flavour. Gotta try. Funny thing is I make my burgers at home very similar and you don't often find them like here in this style without doing any mistakes. This is the reason it is good. In my opinion this style and burger in general should be standard. You feel like these people here ate a lot of burgers themselves and came to this whereas other burger shops didn't even try to eat different styles and make something good. Because they often already fail with the basics.. My thought after eating: it was like a poem. Exactly like when I eat my burgers. However I think doing some tweaks as mentioned above wouldn't hurt. If you would want, you could also change the buns to selfmade and use different buns, but that would put the burger in an other category. Summary: one of the best burgers I tried in the past few years. No stupid mistakes made and tasty. Give it a go of you like Burgers and you're nearby.

Capitol Burger is an exceptionally good burger stand. Well priced and very very delicious. Had one of the best burgers ever!! Burger patty was fresh ground chuck that I watched them grind and press. I would’ve never imagined any burger truck would offer something so fresh. My personal feeling is the Patty could’ve had a little little bit more seasoning to enhance the flavor of fresh ground chuck . But otherwise Flavor combinations were incredible. Our family had a pastrami burger, mushroom burger, and the mac & cheese burger. All were truly exceptional. My personal favorite was the mushroom burger with added bacon. It was loaded with mushrooms. Service was really friendly and we felt like it was really prompt. However, we got there when nobody else was ahead of us and there were about eight ordering parties immediately after us. I can imagine the weight would have been significant for some of them. If you, if you really, really love fries, then go ahead and get their shoestring frozen fries, but nothing too tasty . Just average. But trust me when the Burger itself is enough to stand alone as an incredibly delicious meal.

I’m shocked. We heard so many people say that Capitol Burger was the best burger in the state. It is. I became more intrigued when I learned that this food truck owner worked with Viet Pham at Forage in SLC before this. It Is like the hamburger version of Pretty Bird in SLC. The meat is outstanding. We tried every burger on the menu as a family... twice. (We went back the next day we liked it so much.). The fries are great. Utah style fry sauce excellent. But those burgers...! Our family favorites in order: 1- Mushroom Burger 2- Mac and Cheese Burger 3- Bacon Cheeseburger 4- Pulled Pork Burger 5- Pastrami Burger Putting the pastrami burger at the end pains me. I love pastrami burgers. Northern Utah’s Crown Burgers and Burgers Supreme have their pastrami dialed in to perfection. And oddly, I’m not a huge mushroom fan, but you have to get it. The mild blue cheese together with the mushrooms and the salty ground beef is a crazy good combo. Try it with the lettuce wrap. Please come to Northern Utah!

Ok before you even consider eating anywhere besides Capitol Burger. Stop. Don’t eat anywhere else. If you want the best burger—best food—of your life, eat here. If you want to be sorely disappointed and have sub-par food, eat somewhere else in Torrey. I ate here twice when they were open last season. I waited like a little kid waiting for Christmas morning for the day they would finally reopen and it just so happened to be on my birthday. My. Birthday. The greatest gift I could’ve ever received was capitol burger opening up again and IT HAPPENED. I drove the 3 hours from provo to my hometown just so I could eat such fine cuisine on my special day because that’s all I wanted. Truly. So, let me break it down. Their patties aren’t frozen. They hand grind the meat. On top of a patty made from scratch (and with love) they give you some bomba** toppings to really up the flavor, such as the Mac & cheese burger, pulled pork burger, funeral potato burger (where are all my relief society ladies at?), and a couple of other specialty burgers. Oh, and get this, they have loaded, pulled-pork fries. Not only are their burgers exceptional, their service is exceptional. Luke and Sonny are the kind of people you want to be friends with because they’re so cool and they’d make you cool just by knowing them. Don’t just run to Torrey get a Capitol...
