I popped into color ridge for respite from the heat and a sweet little treat. that’s exactly what I got and more! I decided to go for a scoop of Capitol Reef peach (where my peach lovers at?!) in a sugar cone and it was as if I was eating peaches and cream in its true form (I.e. peaches hand- sliced, with cream carefully drizzled over them). It was the perfect amount of sweetness and the perfect amount of creaminess to satisfy my sweet tooth. And that was just the ice cream! I usually go with a cup when consuming ice cream, but I was driving and needed a cone for convenience. I can’t say I’ve had a sugar cone better than the one I had here. And maybe it really isn’t anything special! Maybe it’s just a generic sugar cone! but it left the most wonderful aftertaste with hints of cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla after my last bite. All of what I consumed felt like it was made with genuine love and care, which is tricky to find these days. I can’t wait to pop in again and try more of...
Read moreI know this is a bold statement but this might be the best ice cream I’ve had in a looooong time. The texture and flavours are soooo well thought through. It is creamy & silky without feeling like it has a lot of commercial tasting syrups in it. My favourite was the mojito but also loved the Oreo espresso a second favourite. I also got the apricot cobbler but would probably skip that and try something else instead (only because the apricot flavour was too subtle for me). This place is a must-stop on your Capitol Reef and/or Escalante road trip. The flight comes in a cute plate and the price cannot be beat! Perfect for a group to try a variety of flavours. Staff is also super patient and nice as you try your best to narrow it down to 3-5 options from all the amazing flavors they have to offer. I totally recommend this place and am already planning another trip to ensure this is on my list of...
Read moreThis is actually my new favorite ice cream place in Utah! The flavors are delicious and unique, the people are kind, and the presentation is pleasant. We got the 5 flavor flight and really enjoyed it - it’s a great way to get a little bit of a few different flavors. Juniper berry was our favorite (it tastes like desert feels, as one local described it), followed closely by lemon poppyseed and lavender honey (tied for second) which were so smooth and flavorful. Horchata was so tasty and actually tasted like the drink, and raspberry lemonade was nice and refreshing. Our only regret is that we did not bring an ice box to take some home 3.5 hrs away. Cannot wait to come back...
