Panera Bread — Restaurant in Torrington

3:45 pm: There was no decaf coffee, but cashier said she'd make it and that it would only take a few minutes. 4:00: checked in with cashier who said it would only be a few minutes. I check the coffee table every 5 minutes - no coffee. Finished my meal without a drink. At 4:25, I overhear same cashier telling customer who asked for decaf coffee - "It'll just be a few minutes." I remarked to customer that I was told the same thing over a half hour before and I point to my food tray with empty bowls. Coffee arrived at 4:35, 50 minutes after I was told it was being made. I really, truly don't mind one mistake, but to repeatedly be told it was coming in a few minutes was way out of line when it certainly wasn't coming. Maybe she was too busy to make the coffee (questionable since the place was just about empty due to impending snow). But restaurants must have a policy about getting someone else to do something as simple as making a batch of coffee if you're too busy yourself. There were other employees around. Neither I nor the other customer were happy about the wait... and hers was a much shorter...

Food is good employees could use some training and customer service and that includes the management I was given a gift card for my birthday and went there trying to use it the girl can't figure out what she was doing and scanned my card like five times and supposedly it kept getting denied I ended up having to charge my order on a credit card because they tried to say that my gift card wasn't working it must be that their system is down the next time I went same problem so time I went back I was told there was only $4 and change left on my gift card which was a $25 gift card when I contacted the company to check my gift card balance low and behold the original transaction charged my gift card 19 dollars and change. Unbelievable I only gave this place 2 Star because the food is really good and fresh and it's a pleasant atmosphere other than that it's overpriced for the portion sizes and again bad...

I think some one from here should be randomly drug tested well all should so should every job as I have had a bad experience with someone from here with the eyes messed up and don't know how no one noticed it mad me sick on how this world is now and days. On a job application for every job says do you consent to a drug test the people that say yes should be as the same people that say no should be I'm sorry but if someone smelt like marijuana they should be drug tested or fired I would not like a review like this as I will not becoming back to this location anymore due to this experience.
