Taco Bell — Restaurant in Torrington

2024 - Two stops at our area Taco Bell. Sitting at a red light the first time, I called a family member and asked if they would like me to bring some home for lunch. An enthusiastic yes was the response. He wanted to try the cheesy gordita crunch. I also added some tacos to the order. He thought the gordita was okay but preferred to go back to our traditional favorites, the burrito supreme with guacamole and their classic crunchy beef tacos. The best thing about those are they are on the healthiest things to order from Taco Bell list.

October 2022 - The long drive-through line around 3:30 shows how much people still like Taco Bell. I liked their meatless Fiesta burrito for a change with rice and beans plus toppings, and the crunchy beef tacos and double steak grilled cheese burrito I brought home were enjoyed.

As I describe in my original review of Taco Bell, this fast food chain still prevails for its ability to hand customers decent tacos and burritos within minutes. Asking if they made anything without cheese I was told yes, just order anything with no cheese, and they made two crunchy chicken tacos with no cheese as ordered. Two crunchy beef tacos with cheese were also made as ordered.

The drive-through line was huge here around 4:30 today. We ordered two Cravings Packs that come with four beef crunchy tacos and four 5 layer burritos with beef, beans, cheddar, sour cream and a cheddar cheese sauce according to the Taco Bell website description.

Online it said these packs were $10. apiece but at this franchise in Torrington, CT they were $11.99 each. Eating the burritos at home, we couldn't detect the cheddar cheese sauce. Some of the burritos had little to no sour cream, as well.

People usually want something different from turkey after Thanksgiving dinner and leftovers for a couple of days. Italian, Chinese and Mexican food all offer different cuisines for those wanting a change.

If I could give this place zero stars I sure would. When you walk in and go to the counter it's not " Hi can I help you" what you get is we don't take your order at the register you have to use the kiosk, so I asked what if someone doesn't know how to use it... The lady stated she will come around and help, then I countered back wouldn't it just make sense then for you to help them at the register? I was told that she didn't have time for this, I either ordered my food or leave... I should have left to be honest. So I ordered my food and I'm waiting and there's only 2 people, one customer walked up to the counter and started yelling at the people about how he has been waiting 20 minutes for his 3 burritos. My order took about 25 minutes a Doritto taco loaded no tomatoes that one was correct. 2 Burritos no sour cream that was wrong, went back up there they made it again WRONG AGAIN and then just gave me one burrito. The lady was getting pissy with me saying that I am being difficult and I was wrong when I ordered it on the kiosk. I slammed the receipt down and read it to her, and said now tell me I am wrong again! This place is ridiculous with rude employees and a Manager who cannot or will not correct the behavior, cannot run the Taco Bell efficiency to Standards. Taco Bell should be ashamed on who they hire and do a clean sweep, or just get of the whole building entirely. Also don't get caught in the drive thru you be sitting there for almost a half hour waiting for food and there's no way you can get out either if you are...

I order from here a lot, I usually do not complain as I don’t really care the quality of food I get. I understand the workers are stressed, tired, and often just trying to get through their shift. There have been many times that I have had missing items from an order when taking out or through DoorDash. I ordered a large nacho fries along side a supreme nachos Doritos taco 3 meal. The Doritos taco meal was fine, but the large nacho fries came with no cheese sauce. They gave me a soft taco with nothing but beef and tomatoes, I guess as a makeup? I’m sorry to say but if the cheese sauce is out I don’t want the nachos fries and would prefer a refund for the item than another taco that is bare minimum to replace. This was especially disappointing as I don’t make a lot of money and spent my last $20-$30 on this meal. Very disappointed with this service. I understand fast food is an undesirable and hard job to have, I’ve worked it many times myself the same hours. But please, communicate and figure out a solution for these types of things. With the amount of times I have had missing items or extras guaranteed in an order, I had to leave a review.
