My husband called me after arguing with a manager named Kirsten over a compensation of food. She was very rude to him and I asked him to put me on the phone with her where she continued to be extremely rude to me as well. It's not as if I was just trying to come in and get a free meal we had already ordered and paid for $15 worth of food we were just trying to get the compensation for food we had ordered previously and she stated that someone had already quote-unquote picked it up. I had advised her that we had never come to pick up the food that we had already ordered food but this is a replacement of the last time when our food was incorrect she continue to argue with me she got loud with me and said that she would no longer continue this conversation and handed the phone back to my husband and said she wasn't dealing with me. I myself am in restaurant management and it was completely appalled by her behavior. I asked for her to write her name down on a piece of paper with the refund so that I may contact corporate and she refused. I'm so dissatisfied by the way a complaint was handled in your restaurant that I will not be returning to this location. I also asked for money to be refunded to my debit card where she said she could not do it and handed my husband cash. So not only did this restaurant lose out on $15 and valued customers I will also be telling my friends not to give them their business. This is completely unprofessional and uncalled for I think that upper management needs to take a look into Kirsten and whether employment at McDonald's is what's best for...
Read moreI picked up breakfast and paid for an extra syrup, so when she handed me the bag, I asked if the extra syrup was in there(last time it wasn’t) and she said Yes it is. I get 10 minutes away to deliver breakfast and it’s not there, in fact no syrup or plastic ware. I called the store just now. A man answered and I told him and he said he put it in the bag, like I’m lying!! I don’t know whose bag he put it in, not mine! I asked that they don’t tell us yes it’s in there unless they ARE sure. I would’ve looked if she didn’t know. And he was immature and hung up the phone, is this how managers act. Rolling the dice on service at this store. Only bad review I have written. The hang up is why. Customers last.
Update: 2 years later Manager Mike said when Hotcakes and Sausage and sausage replaced with bacon-you get one slice cut in half. Another manager at store got it right a few months ago-they always do this. I asked why Big breakfast with hotcakes and sausage and bacon you get 2 whole slices-he said you pay more-picture shows is untrue!! I asked why I pay more for bacon substitute and he said bacon costs more. Store is good for drinks, anything else is too complicated for them. Mismanaged. Customer is last here! Not the...
Read moreThis is our local McDonald's, and in the two years we have lived in Newark, we have visited at least a few dozen times. The place is very nice since the fully renovated building was opened back up, and the drive thru is well done. Orders are generally correctly made, even requests for no pickle extra cheese from my kid. The quality of the food is as expected for McDonald's, but it seems like costs continue to rise quicker than I would expect to be normal. My biggest drawback, and the reason for the three stars is the speed of service. Twice we have been asked to pull to the side and then forgotten, having to go inside after 10 minutes waiting in a parking spot. I will give credit for attempting to console the situation with cookies, etc, which is appreciated. However, there is also just a general slowness even without a long line at the drive thru. 4 cars a couple days ago and it took 10 minutes to get through. In the grand scheme, 10 minutes isn't the end of the world, but to me McDonald's was always about tasty food fast at a lower cost. All things said it just doesn't feel like...
