We were looking for a relaxed, fun, casual environment in Lindenhurst. Came upon Ruby Soho’s, a cool little taco place..but that’s not all they have! First off, the ambience is beautiful, very sheik looking. The alternative music was fantastic! On to the food…we got the Vegan Crunch Wrap which had black beans, cabbage slaw, rice, lettuce and tomato. We opted out of the vegan protein. The second thing we got was The Holy Black Crunch Wrap. For this one we chose the Buffalo crispy chicken, rice, jalapeños(a must), cheese, rice, tomato and shredded cabbage. Both wraps came in a perfectly toasted crunchy outer shell. Every bite was deliciously tasty. Each meal was complimented with a side of homemade, seasoned chips. The service was exceptional and attentive. So glad we discovered this hidden Lindenhurst gem, we will be back Ruby Soho’s!

Disappointing experience. Visited the restaurant on Saturday around 8PM. We stood at the door for a while before the security sat us down. We sat down and had to wait pretty long time before the waitress came over with the menu. Food was terrible. $15.00 EACH for carne asada tacos is a rip off. Carne was chewy and mostly white fat. I have had better tacos on the street for $3.00. Service was terrible, NO napkins, NO silverware, water and drinks on plastic clear cups and tacos came in paper plates. $61.00 before tip for 2 drinks 4 tacos is not worth it for the food. Chorizo tacos were cold, greasy and with no flavor at all. Will not visit again. There plenty of tacos places in the are a lot cheaper and way better quality.

Food is always fresh and very tasty. Not too crazy about the way they are presented in paper woth no utensils. We've been here twice, we've had the same waitress both times and she is just very inattentive. She walks by the table and doesn't ask if you need anything, even though our drinks are empty. She just seems very uninterested.

Don't like leaving bad reviews. Have yet to come during lunch or dinner, only stopped in a few times with a friend briefly. Seems to be cleaner than the last places at this location, heard the food is pretty alright. I don't think I'd go out of my way here again for a place to drink late night. As one other person mentioned in their review, it seems that if you're not friends with the all the crew or at least a friend of one or another, you certainly won't feel welcome or at ease etc. I noticed a few other pairs of people, who did not appear to have a buddy that works there or is a friend of a regular, hadn't spent more than an hour the very most if that. I guess you could say it's all the employees, owner, managers, regular patrons, and their friends managed to all become associated from being at this bar to where it now seems to have changed into a Unofficial Members Only (or feel pretty out of place/mildly uncomfortable) Clubhouse lol. Now I must mention that I myself didn't feel unsafe or anything, even managed to briefly chat it up with a couple people. As far as the not welcomed vibe, we noticed that coming more so from the female regulars or workers (funny cause we also couldn't tell for a while with a couple of them who worked there and who was just there to drink being that most of em seemed to have free reign in there employed or not lol). The best example of this was I saw a guy (outsider of course) seem to be attempting to ya know, have a conversation with someone at a BAR? Wasn't too close to hear him too clear, but he for sure wasn't behaving too grotesque or unwarranted with the ladies nearby let alone anyone really. So by chance as I stepped out front for a smoke, I got to hear how this fella was gropey and way out of line etc. So ya, that's a great example of why this place (at least after dinner hours) won't seem to be as enjoyable I guess, if you aren't associated somehow with anyone of their crew. I feel good knowing someone else feels the...

I used to think this place was decent to go grab some quick tacos and a drink. However, ever since they’ve reopened it hasn’t been the same.

For example, after not being there for about 2 months, I recently went in for Taco Tuesday where they say the special is 4 dollar tacos. I then order 3 tacos (2 beef and 1 pork) and a coke.

While placing my order, I ask the waitress if their shredded beef tacos have cheese on them since it’s not clear on their menu. She proceeds to tell me no. I then said that’s good because I didn’t want cheese on them. However, when the tacos come out, there is a cheese based cream on the tacos. I then tell the waitress about the issue. She apologizes for the issue and asks if I’d like something else. I told her I couldn’t get anything else as I had to leave in a few minutes. Instead of offering to take the tacos off the bill.

When I get the bill, it’s for about 24 dollars (almost double what I was expecting). I then ask her why the bill is so high when the tacos are supposed to be 4 dollars per taco. She then tells me it’s because the glass of coke is 5 dollars per glass. So not only did she not offer to take the tacos off the bill, they overcharge for a simple coke.

I never seen a place not offer to take something off the bill if it didn’t come out the way the customer expected it and charge so much for a glass of soda.

I don’t think I will be going back again as I used to go here at least two to three...

Overall the experience at this restaurant was ok at best.

To start the service was not good. I was seated with a large table just a couple of feet from the bar where servers were walking in and around talking with friend and coworkers, our table found it hard to get the attention of the staff even while being two feet from our table.

Kitchen service was ok chips salsa and other appetizers came out very fast but it felt like the tacos and other entrees took forever.

Food Personally I’ve had tacos everywhere and honestly NY over all just doesn’t have a good taco. But there are some dos and donts The simmered beef taco doesn’t have enough meat and tastes like you could make that with your friend from college 4/10

The shredded beef taco has this red sauce that suppose to be spicy sweet and the whole thing just tasted like I was eating candied beef. 1/10

The spicy pork taco was the highlight of the night it’s really hard to mess up pork and pineapple but this was definitely elevated at ruby soho 10/10

Would like more traditional flavors for the beef based tacos

Bar service 7/10 Good beers on tap bar tenders seem to be having a good time with customers and other staff. Someone was friendly enough to take our groups picture.

I would recommend this place mainly if you want somewhere very Long Island Main Street modern to have a good beer. If your gonna get something get the spicy pork taco and...
