Bedford Bagel & Bakery — Restaurant in Town of Bedford

Since I moved to Bedford Hills, I decided to order my Italian pastries. I ordered 9 cannoli, 3 dipped in chocolate, all 9 were were dipped. When I opened the enormous box they put them in, the napoleons had all fallen apart. I still wated to taste them before posting this review, figured I give them a chance that they might be delicious, WRONG! The napoleons were hard, not flakey. The cream was disgusting. Well I spent $52 and they went in the trash. Best part is when I called to express my disappointment, I was told they were baked fresh for me. NEWS FLASH, I ALWAYS ORDER MY HOLIDAY PASTRIES AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN MADE FRESH FOR ME. Anyway next time I will make sure I take the ride and order my pastries from Neri or Cassone which is what I have always done in the past. My family all said, "where did you get these, they are terrible". Oh well, lesson learned! My suggestion to owner, stick to bagels! I just read your response to my review which came one year later. I came to this place before getting my car fixed. I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in the area. The lady at the counter was nice,knowledgeable about the products that I asked for. She provided service with a smile. The bagel that I got was soft,fluffy and perfect in my eyes and my stomach. As were the other two items. The bakery section is beautifully filled with cupcakes,brownies and other sweet treats. The overall atmosphere was quite and pleasant. If I had time sit down, I would have. The bagels here are some of the best I've ever had! My favorite is the blueberry. The service is great and they are happy to toast and cut your bagel however you like. They will wrap up your items nicely and offer you extra bags if you want, it's always such a good experience! They also have a variety of cream cheeses; lox, strawberry, plain, etc.

The pastries and baked goods are hit or miss for me. The linzer cookies are great but the cakes aren't my favorite. I suppose they have something for everyone.
