Carvel — Restaurant in Town of Bedford

Do not get ice cream here. We ordered a cake with the assurances of the manager that it was nut-free because it was for our 7-year old son's birthday, and he has peanut and tree nut allergies. When we cut into the cake, it was not what we ordered, and had ice cream and ingredients that were known allergens.

They screwed up the order and endangered an allergic child. They ruined a birthday party for a 7 year old who could not eat birthday cake. And when I returned to complain, the dim employee who had assured me the cake was nut free when I picked it up wondered aloud why they had an extra sheet cake in the back.

There are better ice cream shops in the Bedford Hills and Mt Kisco area. Patronize...

The customer experience at this location depends on whos working. This is a very well stocked Carvel, but the staff can be iffy. One time I had a great experience where I was even joking with the staff member, and another time I got Nickle and Dimed for every small thing, and was treated with a short, unappreciative attitude, almost like it was a chore that I was buying from them. I will return again soon, (As I have many other times) I just hope my next visit will be pleasant. I may even make my review a 5 star if that happens.
