Lively place walking distance to Sagamore. We had the Calamari App $20, Shrimp cocktail $22 (3 colossal shrimp), bread $7. For entrees we had lobster Ravioli (north of $60), tuna $44, and ordered an off-menu burger w bacon $25. The Bar in the other room looked really cozy and fun. Bar tender gave us a big hello as we walked in and out which was nice. The calamari app is mouth watering delish and a must with this fried cherry peppers and tasty dipping sauce. My personal option is bread should be included as charging $7 is like adding 2 dollars to each of our entree prices making them even more out of hand. The tuna entree was tasty with TONS and TONS of very fresh tuna @ $44 not unreasonable for a vacation town. I thought the lobster ravioli missed the mark being priced so high north of $60 for my 15 year old however prices nationally are so out of hand I don't necessarily blame them. My advice would be to skip it and try the salmon which is in the $42 range. I was very happy they let us order an off the menu burger for my ten year old or I would have cried if he ordered a $60 lobster ravioli. Burger was excellent. The hostess at the front door was a bit rude as we walking in which kind of set the mood for not the best evening. I sometimes wish people who will be snotty just not go into customer service positions and would instead go work in an office somewhere where they do not interact with people. The hostess should be delightful, cheeriy and helpful....not submissive and passive aggressive. This does not reflect on the owner who I hear is delightful. Overall excellent food but they may have to move from $$-$$$ to $$$-$$$$ now that prices are 1/3 higher than what is reflected in the menu in an old yelp photo I saw.

We have made dinner at Beyond the Sea a part of our annual summer trip to Lake George, as we are never disappointed. We return, not just because the menu is fantastic or because our meals are always mouth watering delicious or because the wine pairings are always right. All are true but it’s also because of the fine folks that work there. David and Mary hands down are just fantastic; they are always so welcoming and friendly to everyone who steps foot into their restaurant. Enter a stranger and leave as friend. If you are dining alone, sit at the bar. Which is what I did this fall on a solo trip. Melissa greeted me as if she just saw me yesterday even though it’s been a few months, and Jason did not disappoint with his recommendations. Just tell him what you’re thinking and he will point you in the right direction. And though they were super busy, they checked on everyone and worked solidly as a team, taking care of each table. The other staff members were equally friendly and attentive to their guest. Impressive to see just sitting back and watching it all. Ray, their new chef, created some wonderful new fall flavors for their menu…the gnocchi with scallops was divine…so was everything I had. If you’re in the area, do not miss out on having dinner here.

Food was great (get the burrata salad, so delicious and fresh!), but service was just ok. Our waitress was very sweet, but too young and inexperienced to make reccomendations on food, wine, etc. After asking how my filet mignon was, and I told her it was too raw/undercooked, she moved on to asking about dessert (my husband's lobster ravioli was delicious!) without acknowledging the feedback, or offering to make it better. We thought we'd get seated out front after requesting outside dining, not knowing they flipped the parking lot out back to a dining area...not a terrible setback during these covid times, but it'd be nice to know ahead of time when spending nearly $200 on a meal...in a parking lot... It was awkward...and cold, with no heatlamps. Just a heads up for the next couple. Again, great food...we have just come to expect more in terms of service and education for that price point, yes, even in Lake George šŸ˜‰ We'd definetly go again, hopefully post-covid with a more seasoned waiter/waitress.

We were staying within walking distance from the little strip in Bolton Landing where Beyond the Sea is located. There were so many restaurants to choose from, but ultimately the reviews and our desire for seafood landed us here... and we couldn't have been happier! We chose to sit outside for dinner and it was so nice to enjoy the Summer air while watching all of the happenings on Lake Shore Drive. Our waitress was prompt and nice and we recieved our drinks just a min. After being seated. We enjoyed music over the speakers onto the patio as we browsed the menu. We chose to start off with the Filet Mignon sliders and they were AMAZING. Everything on them was extremely fresh and homemade. Absolutely delicious! For dinner I had the blackened salmon with fruit salsa, and my guest ordered the chicken pomodoro dish. The salmon was actually one of the best pieces of salmon I've ever had. The fruit salsa had a little kick to it and paired exceptionally with the fish. It came with creamy, buttery mashed potatoes and sauteed garlic green beans. Everything was absolutely delicious. The pomodoro dish was excellent as well..the pasta was cooked perfectly, chicken was very fresh and tender, and all the flavors perfectly matched together. After our meal was finished, the owner- Dave, came out to chat with us. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the fish and where it came from, and the pride he takes in the quality of his restaurant really beamed from him. It's superb customer service to chat with guests and ensure everything was to their liking, etc. Even with all of the choices that Lakeshore Drive has to offer, we will definitely return to...

I will start off by saying that the food is very good and this is why this establishment deserves one star. We arrived a few minutes early for dinner and were seated right away. Drinks were brought somewhat quickly as well as our soup appetizer. We thought, wow, so far so good and I will say the lobster bisque soup was very good. After that, it went downhill as far as service goes. It took well over an hour for our meals to come, which I will say were good but proportions are not overly filling at all. And let’s get to the prices! Wow, the drinks we ordered, which were only one each were $15 each which was not shown on the menu and really $15 is a complete rip-off. I did want another drink but my waiter never asked any of us if we wanted drinks the entire time and now I’m glad he didn’t for that price. The water boy did fill our glass once or twice so kudos to him. The meals finally came out after an hour later and I will say that the food was good but I left there still feeling hungry. Oh and again, the specials had no price shown. So we paid $75 for a small 5 oz. lobster tail and a small filet mignon! $75 surf and turf dinner! What a joke! A shrimp dinner with 5 shrimp $36, scallop dinner 5 scallops $39, an 8oz filet mignon $49! These prices are outrageous for the little amount of food you receive along with the terrible slow service! There are many other places you can eat in the Lake George area! Make sure to skip this one! I will not be going back and will tell anyone I know who visits this area to avoid wasting their time or hard earned money...
