We were in the Lake George Bolton Landing area for Labor Day weekend. On Tuesday Sept 5 we were looking to eat dinner and kept driving up the main drag to find someplace good to eat. The majority of restaurants were closed. We didn't want pizza or fast food. We stumbled upon Cantina 32 and walked in. We were excited that someplace was open. We were greeted by a lady who was very nice. I even told her how nice she was because last night we went to a "popular" italian place and they were not nice. The lady at Cantina 32 told us she was the owner working with her husband and wanted to stay open on Tuesday to provide people with a place to eat since the majority of places were closed. I couldn't be happier. This place was so clean. The food was absolutely delicious. The portions were huge and the prices were affordable. My chicken fajitas were so huge I had to take half home and the half I took home was still enough for a meal. I had the chicken fajitas and my friend had the carne asada tacos. I was stuffed. We walked out of there only paying $50. ( Last night at the Italian place it was $98 and the quality wasn't that good, portions not great and I left not feeling full. ) My friend and I both work in the restaurant industry so we know good food and what's important. Cantina 32 is my new favorite place. I can't wait to go back. The food was delicious. I'm so glad they were open when others were closed. 5 stars...
Read moreI want to start off by saying that I am not sure how long they have been in business, but from my observation and 25yrs experience in the business it looks like not long. So we went in on a Wednesday night , and yes we have been to Bolton several times before. We sat down around 6, which sometimes is the rush at Bolton, but this place was 1/4 full. We sat at the bar, and 1 other patron was there. We got our drinks quick. The bartender was serving the bar and also service bartender for whole bar. She was great first five minutes, but got distracted very easily by the patron at the bar, went on a 10 minute conversation and the ticker was overflowing with drinks at that time. So she was in the weeds quick. She did happen to take our food order before she got slammed. It was wrong and we didn't get appetizer that we asked for, she charged us anyway for it. It took about 25-30 minutes for the food, which was sub par Mexican food. The place in the meantime got 1/2 full maybe and it seemed the kitchen staff and servers were all in the weeds. So many things need to be changed, too many to list. I did notice kitchen staff did bump it up once the owner(I assume) stepped behind the line to help. $85 for sub par Mexican food and awful service. She never checked on us until we were done eating and again wasn't even sure...
Read moreAvoid this restaurant. I'm not sure I've ever had a worse experience at a restaurant. We live locally and decided to stop in for dinner about a week ago after spending the day on our boat. The hostess told us the wait for a table would be 10 minutes for our party of 3. We were seated after 40 minutes. We immediately ordered 3 drinks and nachos as an appetizer. We noticed that it seemed pretty busy, and asked our waiter about how long the wait for food would be. He said it would be a little slow, around 25-30 minutes. We decided to order still and ordered a fajita plate and tacos. It took exactly 1 hour for our nachos appetizer to come out. Our meals came 55 minutes after that. Not 1 time did our waiter ask if we wanted more drinks. The 3 we got when we first arrived were the only drinks we had the whole 2.5 hours we spent at this restaurant. The table next to us was just going to the bar and getting their own drinks. I felt like someone was playing a prank on us. There were groups that arrived after us leaving, and we hadn't even received our very simple meal. When our food was finally ready, we had the kitchen box it in to-go containers. We ate when we got home, and it was gross. The nachos weren't good either. Everything was bland and poorly cooked. Bad...
