It is extremely rare for me to leave a review. My wife, my 1 year old and myself came here for breakfast. We overheard people discussing the lengthy time to receive their orders and saw a couple leave after saying their food order was taking extremely long to come out. However, we easily got a table and wrote it off as a possibly unfairly grumpy person or two. After almost an hr I inquired with the staff and discovered our order never even made it into the computer system. The establishment was not busy and the staff clearly did not have a handle on how to efficiently run a simple breakfast spot. I stopped by Sunshine Diner in Bolton Landing on the 4th of July and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a brioche bun—and it was absolutely delicious. The brioche was soft and golden, and the flavors were perfectly balanced.
The staff were incredibly friendly and festive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the holiday. I also loved the unique charm of the diner itself—it looks like it’s built inside an old train car, adding a nostalgic, cozy vibe that makes the whole meal feel like a slice of Americana.
If you're in the area, don't miss this place....
