My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Spin and Savor yesterday, and what an incredible experience it was! This rotating sushi and dim sum restaurant in Pittsford is a fantastic addition to the area, and it’s clear they’ve put a lot of thought into every detail. From the moment we sat down, we were impressed by the concept—watching dishes glide past on the rotator added an interactive and fun element to our meal. It’s perfect for those moments when you’re not sure what to order because everything looks so tempting.
The food was absolutely fresh, flavorful, and exceeded our expectations. We pulled a few things off the rotator, including strawberry pudding, custard buns, sesame buns, and some other small treats. Every bite was delicious and beautifully presented. My wife, who’s Filipina and has a deep love for Asian cuisine, was thrilled by the variety and quality of the offerings. From the table tablet—a super easy and efficient way to order—we chose beef teriyaki, chicken teriyaki, white rice, edamame, pork/shrimp shumai, and the “Golden Black Buns.” I have to highlight those buns specifically—they were fantastic! The taste was surprising in the best way possible, something you might not expect at first but that quickly wins you over. It’s one of those dishes you’ll talk about even after the meal ends.
Adding to the experience was the high-tech charm of the restaurant. The robot servers are a showstopper. Watching them deliver food with upbeat music playing was a treat in itself, and it added to the futuristic, fun vibe of the place. Beyond the robots, the restaurant was spotless, well-organized, and welcoming. The staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly dedicated to making sure everyone has a memorable visit. It felt like they genuinely cared about the guest experience, and that makes such a difference.
For a concept as modern and unique as this, the pricing was more than reasonable. It’s rare to find a place that combines high-quality food, innovative service, and affordability, but Spin and Savor hits all those marks. Whether you’re grabbing a few plates off the rotator or ordering larger dishes from the tablet, it feels like you’re getting great value for the price.
We’ll absolutely be back. Spin and Savor delivered on every level, from the food to the service to the overall experience. It’s perfect for a casual date night, a family outing, or even just a fun dinner with friends. If you’re in the Pittsford area or even just passing through, you need to try this place. And make sure to grab those Golden Black Buns—they’re a must-try! We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Spin and Savor, thank you for an...
Read moreWe went for lunch and only had dim sum and it was perfect! It was so worth the 1hr 20 min drive from Buffalo for authentic dimsum. They make their dishes fresh and in-house, not frozen. The har-gow (shrimp dumpling) skin was perfect texture, fresh and taste great. The golden lava bun, was amazing, it had a yummy salted egg custard inside, that exploded all your taste buds. Highly recommend. The lower conveyor belt of various options of foods was a nice way to have a taste of one item versus purchasing a group of 3 or 4 incase you don't like or can't finish it. Ordering from the iPad was very easy too and your food was delivered via the upper conveyor belt. The owner was very welcoming, personal, so sweet and nice. She gave us samples to try, a BBQ pork pastry and egg tart. That they make fresh that morning. Both were so buttery and flaky and the egg custard was just the right texture and sweetness. Very delicious, and I'm regretting we didnt buy more to take home. Everything was delicious, the decor was beautiful and the service was Great, including the robot! Prices are very reasonable. I only wish this restaurant was in the buffalo area, then we would be going every week! Thank you for a wonderful experience and we will definitely be making the trip again for some more...
Read morePros: The sushi was fresh. The restaurant was clean. The dumplings were delicious. The pork steamed buns were flavorful.
Cons: the food was just OK. We ordered the bao which was kind of bland, the soup was good but the pork filling had little to no flavor. We ordered the steamed pork ribs we didn't try them because the looked kind of gross and smelled bad.
If the food weren't bad enough the service for the few things that service is needed for was absolutely substandard. We got seated and asked if we wanted any drinks we asked for water and a lemonade. There were 3 servers and only 4 tables of people about 12 people total in the restaurant. It took over 10 minutes to get our water. I ordered black tea and never received it despite the fact that it was sitting on the bar wait8ng to be delivered. You push a button to get your bill. The server came to the table to make sure we wanted the bill and we said yes and then waited for 10 minutes to get the bill. If the place were packed I would have been OK with it but this is a conveyor belt restaurant and the only service is to bring drinks, utensils and the bill.
I truly hope that someone works with the staff to...
