To be honest, I haven’t been in. Webb’s for at least 5 years due to a very poor experience at another location. But I was so craving a Webb’s burger, I just had to stop in at my nearest Webb’s.
I read the previous reviews and wasn’t surprised at some of the comments due to people not understanding the hospitality industry. Some even take personal pot-shots at the staff.
I believe that I had the same staff as one of those pot-shot reviews and I must say, they are very off base.
The server with the “heavy makeup” doesn’t have heavy makeup, it’s a current style that highlights one’s eyes. And quite frankly, it is implemented very well. Her personality and attention to the customer is some of the best I have seen in this industry and with a short order cooking environment. She was moving her “you know what” to serve the customers and handling the tempo well.
The cook in the back was moving quickly too and their communication was solid. The food came out quick, hot and was everything I expected it to be.
I always read negative comments with a grain of salt because there is normally an underlying reason someone wants to bash a restaurant, their food, or their staff. It’s actually obvious once you read the review a couple times.
Due to the service, quality and work ethic of the staff that was demonstrated today, I will definitely come back to this George Webb’s again and again.
I would traditionally ask the server and the cook for their names but don’t want this to look like it’s a review from the inside. But, I will tell you this, the server wears eye makeup that is up to date and not overly done and the cook has red hair.
For future reviewers, a word of advice, if it’s truly bad food, bad service, etc., Go back a second time, everyone ( front or back of the house) can have a bad day. But don’t take it personally or make...
Read moreI'm not a huge fan of George Webb food, but this particular restaurant in Brookfield is worthy of my time to review it and 4 stars to boot for one very important reason: customer service. From the moment I walked in the door I was impressed by the counter-worker's friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism. I wish I would have caught this gentleman's name because he really is something special. Not only was he attentive to my needs while I waited for a car stereo install at the nearby Best Buy, but he also was extremely compassionate to an elderly lady who said that she wanted to eat out because she was too depressed to be home alone. He remembered that her husband had passed away a few years ago and gently comforted her while serving her order. It was a very touching scene and left me with little doubt about why this location has regulars. Oh, and the food wasn't too bad on this...
Read moreOrderded a bacon cheese burger- bacon was charred and brittle to the crunch. Over cooked. Blackened.
Ordered double webb and a big webb again bacon was charred hard, blackened, and brittle to the touch both orders. I sat my bacon to the side and quietly and politely asked that my bacon be reworked. Waitress immediately responded with, "all of the bacon we are cooking is like that this morning. " She let me know it wasn't the cook, it was simply, "A Bad Batch of Bacon." She went on to say, "this happens sometimes we get sent a badge batch.".
I was offered no alternative meat. Paid the bill left a tip and was wondering what that meant. A bad batch of bacon?
I will wait for your response and will continue to treat my friends to Wisconsins own George Webb restaurant's whether the bacon batch sent, is good or bad.
