I am a regular here. I am obsessed with this place. Where to start...?
Coffee I will travel great lengths for a cup of coffee. The Rainbow blend is my favorite. Jumpstart is decent and although I am not a big fan it is 100x better than any Starbucks coffee. Milk alternatives are available and not a issue like most establishments. All the specialty drinks I’ve tried are simply delicious and consistent with each visit. In terms of price it is cheaper than other coffee shops and they don’t charge you a ridiculous amount for non-dairy. I can afford to go here unlike Starbucks who charges $7.50 for a coffee with oat milk. Yuck.
Food I find it hard to believe people complain about prices here. Go to Panera and you’ll drop $20-$25 on a soup and salad. The prices here are not reasonable, quite frankly I think they are cheap (compared to other establishments). If you order a salad here you will be full. You get what you pay for and the food is exceptional. Always good quality.
Desserts All I can say is that you can’t go wrong with any of their options. So, the cake slices are a tad pricey, but worth it. Somewhere in WI someone is paying the same price for a sundae...
Cashless I appreciate that they are cashless and it works great for the customer as well. I can check my rewards points that are attached to my card.
Punch card/rewards The toast rewards are great for frequent visitors. I also love that they have a punch card for those who often purchase coffee. It’s a terrific reward that I appreciate.
Ambiance It can get loud at times but that is expected. I will say that I enjoy the vibe and atmosphere overall. Chill music and comfy place to work while enjoying coffee.
Service Love the service here. There have been rotations of new people since they opened, but the management is great and the loyal employees are a pleasure. Shout out to Julia and Cole. Two rockstars who go above and beyond and always provide quality customer service.
I cannot find a reason to...
Read moreJust stopped in tonight to check out their menu and ask some questions about food allergies after we had dinner close to the Brookfield location. We walked in walked up to the cake/treat counter, I tried getting two workers attention however they were deep in conversation(I was close, it wasn't work related). I walked over to the register and I asked if someone could help me with the gluten free items. He pointed to the people I had already tried to get their attention. I was not comfortable buying anything there as their display had gluten containing items touching and on trays above the gluten free items. So, I told my 12 year old he could have a treat at home, but my daughter who doesn't have food allergies and Celiac wanted a piece of the rainbow cake. We ordered a piece to go and as we were waiting I asked Noah (the same person that pointed to the other people that would help me while working the register) if they have a gluten free food menu or if they can accommodate food allergies, he shrugged his shoulders and replied "no, were new" I looked at him dumbfounded that that was his answer. All I could say was "are you the manager" he said "no" and again said "wr're new". I looked to the person standing behind him leaning on the counter and asked if she was the manager. She said yes. I asked if she heard what and more importantly how he was talking to us. She said yes, we conversed, she tried to apologize and tell me some of the salad dressing are gluten free and some other items may be. She did comp my daughter's cake (which she ate at home and she loved it). If the customer service continues like this it doesn't matter if they are new...they wont be open I til they aren't new. Some new trading for all their staff should be high on their priority list.Sad for us that we probably wont go back...
Read moreI could not have been more disappointed nor felt more disrespected. Simply their no cash policy. I stopped in late last night. I take full responsibility for getting there undercthe wire. I was headed to Von Maur and for months they had been raving about the new bakery that was going to open. Earlier that day i asked if it was open and an associate said it was. Had a long day and was hurried. Must admit i was busy trying to get in a door and missed the no cash signs. Didn't see them when I left either. Everything as far as food was already shut down. Again my fault. So i picked out a cookie and a few chocolates. Hadn't grabbed a card just cash. I could not believe they did not accept cash. No exceptions. This morning I read some of the reviews and an owner response. This is for the protection of the employees in the event of a robbery. My opinion this is for the protection of the owner to keep employees from stealing. The entire time i was looking at their selections my cash was visible not a word about their policy. Agreed crime is rampant thieves and employees, however, residents of the Waukesha, Brookfield area are not used to thinking of their beautiful new shopping center, The Corners, as crime ridden. I do use cards on a regular basis but those too come with issues. Simply hadn' t grabbed one. I wish you the very best. I too run a business and I can say that implementing something that isn't usual and customary in a particular area generally doesn't work. You are new and people are eager to try your food and service. After that wears off I wonder how they will feel when their American dollar is turned away. Good Luck to you. I won't be back and well I shared my experience with a few people and they were younger than me and used to "cards" they too...
