I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Les Moise. If you are looking for knowledgeable and professional boot fitters, this is the place for you. I am writing this review in the context of ski boot fitting and Luke Teske (whom I worked exclusively with). When I first started skiing, I went to a local shop and the end of winter and got a "deal" on my first pair of ski boots (rental caused numb foot and other issues). The boot "fitter" (if you can call them that) basically knew nothing about ski boots and I managed to buy a boot too big for my foot causing numb foot and poor performance. After speaking to several other ski instructors and expert skiers, I was directed to Les Moise and Luke Teske. Luke is incredibly knowledgeable. I got into a different pair of ski boots but as my ski and performance level grew, I began having additional problems with numbfoot and bruising/pain at the ankle. We went through 2 remolds/re-seals (Fischer vacuum seal), special foot beds, and even some foot bed grinding but couldn't seem to fix the problem. After going out west where the runs are longer and more challenging, the foot issues became unbearable. My boot was my tomb. I called Les Moise and Luke even took my call. I was able to speak to him and he gave me advice on what to do while I was there. I made an appointment to see him when I got back. After looking at everything, we realized the boot was probably too soft for me and we got me into a different (higher flex index) pair of boots. He really worked with me and even compensated the previous pair of boots purchased there because we could never get them to work (which he didn't have to do at all but was most appreciated). These boots have been PERFECT! It solved all the ankle pinching and so far--all the foot numbness (and I even had 1.5 hour of lessons with a lot of footwork--something I could never do before). I am SO HAPPY with my new boots and the customer service/skill level of Les Moise and Luke Teske. These people know what they are doing. Please leave boot fitting to...

I called a week ago to inquire about skis and any year-end sales or Presidents Day sales. The young woman who answered coldly stated, "No. There are no sales." I then inquired if they carried Atomic and Dynastar skis and she said, "hold on" and transferred my call. A man answered and stated, "Les Moise, this is [name]." He seemed irritated to have received a call. I asked again about the brands of Atomic and Dynastar and received the answer of "yeah, we do". Granted, it was a simple question, but this is supposed to be a business. They couldn't elaborate beyond "yeah"? Maybe offer some added information on brands or current stock?
Suffice it to say, today I went to ERIK'S BIKE AND BOARD and bought a new set of Atomic skis, Nordica boots, poles, and a helmet AND they run sales. Save your time and go to ERIK'S. They don't make you feel as if you're a nuisance. They welcomed me, laughed with me, and made sure I got the equipment I wanted that was best for my abilities. I'll be back in summer for a bike and in Autumn, a second...
Read moreLet me just say, I try to support local businesses—been a frequent customer for two years, so I expected better than this. Last week, I came in for a stringing on my racket, but the string kept snapping (like, three times in one week). The guys in the tennis department? Total gems. Super nice, super helpful, even told me the grommet was the issue and promised a full refund. So far, so good.
Then... the front desk disaster. I paid in cash and got a receipt that could’ve fit in a thimble. The Karen at the front desk—who apparently moonlights as the receipt police—tells me I need to keep that receipt for TWO WEEKS (seriously?) and still refuses to refund me unless I prove I'm not lying. All this drama, over a receipt the size of a postage stamp. (FYI refusing me service and taking my money is considered theft)
I was done at that point, so I asked her to call the tennis department manager. After some back-and-forth the tennis department manager finally stepped in and fixed it. But here's the kicker—after all that hassle, guess who won’t be coming...
