I have been a customer of Alberts for over 30 years. Across a few of their restaurants. Unfortunately, they have new owners now. I ordered an upside pie and a few other things. Including two desserts. Zeppollis and rainbow cake. Unfortunately, they were out of both and just decided to send me some plain cheesecake. I ordered on the slice app. It was late and I chatted on the app to get a refund or something the next day. The app called the store and they instantly denied it. Nowhere on the app does it even mention substitutions. I don't understand why they wouldn't have just called me first to ask. Instead of just sending me whatever they wanted. Maybe it was old cheesecake? I don't know. How did they know there wasn't an allergy issue. Anyway, I find this completely unacceptable. Now, was this the worst infraction? No. But, when you spend hard earned money and then when you complain about it. I think you should do better than just saying tough. Because, the non refund was worse to me, than just sending a substitution without asking. So, after 30 plus years, I have had my last slice of Alberts pizza. Which is really unfortunate. Also, I'm not going to use an app with no liability for what happens. Next time, I can order a whole pie and get a soup. Who knows? So, again, it's more of the not admitting the mistake and then not rectifying it. You would think new owners would really be trying to retain the old loyal customers. Anyways, the food was pretty good. Not the same, as it was with the prior owners. But, it's close. I hope they see this and change the way they operate with...
Read moreif i could give this place a NO STAR i would definitely give them no STARS... i placed an order on the weekend i spent over $75 for food that i had to wait for 45-1 hr for and my food was really cold... not only that you would think for a customer who spent over $75 you would complient them with a 2 litter soda or free something due to the amount i had spent with them this is the only pizza place that ive been to that would get annoyed with me asking if i can get free garlic knots... you would also think with the amount of money that ive spent they would double check the order before the driver left i asked for extra dressing for both of my salads and when i got my cold food there was no salad dressing and when i called to speak to the manager he was very rude and i asked him if you can deliver me my dressings for my salad he stated that it would be an additional 45 minute wait to bring me 3 salad dressings when i am only down the block. the manager is rude and i will never place an order or give them my business ever again DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THEIR COLD FOOD THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE...
Read moreI stopped at Alberts Pizza about 2 weeks ago with my son before going to Shop Rite. I've lived on Long Island my whole life and I have to tell you that this was BY FAR the best Pizza I've had in years! My son had the BBQ chicken slice and another that I forgot the name of and he agreed that it was delicious. I had the chicken francaise slice and it was fantastic . The woman who helped us had long blonde hair, tatoos and a huge smile. She was beyond helpful, nice and funny! She explained that Alberts was under new ownership. I told her that the pizza was so good that it was "google review good" !! However with work and other things being crazy the last few weeks, I forgot to leave a review but here I am finally! Oh and the prices were cheaper than other pizzerias in the area which is funny because others in the are a are not as good! Thanks Alberts Pizza for the great food, service and atmosphere. We'll be back...
