Burgerology Stony Brook — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had. My family and I came here for Father’s Day and we ordered beer and milkshakes , only to have the wrong size milkshake come out and given to us for free, then the right size come out with no whip cream, then to come out with melted whip cream that looked disgusting and unappetizing, then we only wanted one now instead of two and they brought out the same two with the melted whip cream again by the manager with barely an explanation. It was disgusting. Then we said we were only supposed to get one not two, and they took our free one away from us now. On top of all that they forgot our beer. There was no ketchup in the bottle, the spinach dip, burger and chicken was insanely greasy and the bread was so small for the Avocado sandwich that everything fell out of the sandwich and on the plate after one bite. Then as we’re trying to put food in takeout boxes and pay, a worker came over and started taking our plates with the food we were trying to pack up, as well as reaching across us to grab other people’s plates instead of walking to the other side of the table like you’re supposed to be trained to do. Stacked cups in our face where we had to lean back from the table so they didn’t touch us. Our server was great and tried her best, the manager himself brought out the melted whip cream with no explanation and when they were supposed to fix it, brought the same drink back and said it was broken instead of letting us know why it looked like that so we could take it off instead. Then watched him go and sit on his phone for the rest of the time we were there. Used to like this place a lot. I’ve come to this restaurant and location multiple times. I really enjoy the food here and the cool drinks. When I crave a burger, this is normally my go-to place because I can’t eat beef, and they have nice alternatives that satisfy my cravings. Last night, the food was on fire. It was delicious. I ordered the build your own burger with turkey patty. This turkey patty was seasoned so well it was unbelievable. I got bacon, caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, onion straws and Gruyère cheese with garlic aioli and bbq sauce on the side with a side of French fries. It was so good. I would rate it a 10/10 for a turkey burger. My partner had a beef burger build your own and said it was an 8/10. He had chipotle sauce, truffle aioli, Gruyère, onion straws and bacon with a side of onion rings. He said the onion rings could been better seasoned but it was a healthy portion of them. As an appetizer we had the cheese curds and like everything else they were so good. However the down fall of it all was the service. It was a busy Saturday night and we were seated at a two person table and the bartender had our table and at least another three tables. If you are a kid who doesn’t mind incompetence, you may like the place. I personally am never going back. I ordered takeout via the website, which was well organized and professional. I received a text with the address from which to pick up my order and a time frame when it would be ready. So far so good. And then I go there to pick up my order. The gir at the dessk asked my name and without checking anything told me the kitchen is running very behind and it will be a few minutes. She asked me to wait outside and she would bring the order to me when it was ready. She never wrote down my name, or check the status if my order. . I chose to stay inside where I could see the orders coming from the kitchen. Long story short I was there for a half hour with a group of others waiting just as long, and spoke to the manager who said it takes about an hour for them to receive the order from the website! That was 30 minutes longer than they said it would be ready. He and the rest of the staff were very disorganized and it was clear had no clue how to run a restaurant or provide customer service. He didn’t even ask my name tontrack down my order. When I finally got my order it had been sitting behind the desk for 15 minutes and was ice cold.
