Cake Fairyland — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

How can you even sell this? I have worked in a restaurant before and these mousse cakes are extremely cheap and sometimes even gifted after you buy from suppliers. The mousse cake I bought was CERTAINLY not handmade and just squished together adding a self made cream and a little jam on top. This has to be the worst product I have gotten from this place. The cost to make this product is probably around three dollars, selling it for almost 8 bucks is purely insane. I have ordered a few times but this is just unacceptable especially when buffets serve this in batches and some suppliers gift it for free. The cake itself is grainy and dry as you can imagine and the cream tastes like chemicals and extract. What a shame. Absolutely disappointing. The durian crepe cake was barely even as big as the strawberry mousse that was not even as big as the palm of my hand. Given the size they sold it for 12 dollars. Selected this bakery based on Yelp reviews. Nothing like your traditional bakery where one would expect cakes, cookies and pastries displayed in the cases. This bakery offered slices of the various cakes being offered along with some other pastry-type items. Of the few cakes that were available in the freezer, I chose a six inch chocolate mousse cake for just under $50. What a great little cafe. I ended up having to work during the holidays and found myself here. I got a Taro mash and boba cream puff to get started. The Taro mash was made with real taro and the taste was delightful.
