Hey guys my name is Stephanie also known as The Skin Jeanie... I have been coming to COHO Coffee House for over a year now and from the moment I walked in it felt like walking into a second home! I have been to and worked at many coffee shops in my life and they are all the same. Baked goods and coffee most of the time never delivered with a warm smile and then the taste of burnt coffee to follow kind of like the atmosphere. Well at COHO from the moment your order is taken to the moment you leave it is like I am at my families house for coffee and breakfast. As a business owner connecting with a community and another business owner means the world. We all have our days in entrepreneurship where we have bad days, good days, sad days, days of overwhelm, and days where we want to throw in the towel. But coming here and connecting with the owner Rob and his staff changes all of that. His advice and kindness always goes the distance and his staff are the sweetest humans ever no matter what time of day it is. It could be 6am 3pm 9pm and always greeted like they actually want to be here which speaks volumes for the owner. Rob has built such an amazing community here for us in Patchogue not only as business owners but as neighbors. Not to mention my pup Max is so welcomed every time and loves his pup cups! Being able to find a place like home in your community is extremely hard and I would say COHO has exceeded that for me. I am here at least 3-5 times a week working. They even have a printer here if you are in a pinch and need it! The wifi works great and the food along with the coffee is soo yummy! If you have not been to COHO yet get here! Get the snickers or the banana nut latte a rainbow cookie and a panini! I can't thank Rob and his staff enough for making me...

From the moment I stepped into CoHo in Patchogue, I knew I'd made a grave mistake. The air hung thick with the cloying scent of burnt coffee and something vaguely resembling wet dog. The "barista" (I use the term loosely, as they looked more like a disgruntled trolls) greeted me with a grunt and a glare that could curdle milk - which, I suspect, is exactly what they use in their lattes. I ordered a simple black coffee, hoping for a modicum of drinkability. What I received was a lukewarm, murky concoction that tasted vaguely of despair and regret. It was as if they'd brewed it with swamp water and used old gym socks as a filter. The ambiance was no better. The dark cheap furniture looked like it had been salvaged from a dumpster, and the general cleanliness of the place suggested a health code violation waiting to happen. There was a fine layer of dust on every surface, and I'm fairly certain I saw a small rodent dart under a table. To add insult to injury, the prices were astronomical. I paid nearly 5 dollars for my cup of liquid misery, a sum that could have bought me a decent beer. In conclusion, CoHo is an affront to coffee lovers everywhere. It's a place where dreams go to die, and taste buds are brutally assaulted. Avoid it like the plague. You'd be better off drinking instant coffee from a gas station...
Read moreI have been to CoHo in Patchogue several times. I find that it is THE perfect place to go for excellent coffee – with a long list of types and sizes and something, of course to go with that coffee. The selection of baked products is astounding. There are beautiful scones; delectable pastries; and of course, croissants. What I love is that none of these are wrapped in plastic (which could make them soggy or mushy), but instead they are displayed in the beautiful light of the glass cases – ready for you to pick what you want. CoHo also serves egg sandwiches in the morning, and a whole variety of delicious sandwiches and Paninis throughout the day. The seating is comfortable with tables, counter at the window, lounge chairs, and some outdoor seating. What I love about the place is the lighting. It is soft enough to be welcoming without being distracting. It’s simply relaxing, which is what the customers there are doing. Best is the owner, Rob, and staff. They go beyond courteous, by being friendly and concerned about their patrons. Rob is amazing and makes you feel as if you’ve come to his home, so “Come in. Have a coffee and maybe a bite. Sit down and be comfortable. I’m glad to see you.” This is my coffee spot. You really should try CoHo in Patchogue and make it your...
