The Food Done It Tour in Patchogue was absolutely amazing! My sisters and I surprised my mother for her 60th birthday and couldn't believe how much fun we had. We went on the Cupcake Conundrum Tour this past weekend. There was a total of 6 different places (5 restaurants and 1 Retail Shop) which we got to explore and enjoy. Each place was different from one another and offered something unique to our visit. One of our favorite parts of the tour was surprisingly at the Retail Shop, because of their quirky and eccentric merchandise they have and their amazing Todd who works at the store. The service at each location was great and each restaurant went the extra mile to make our experience even better. The hosts and servers at ALL of the places were very professional, helpful, interesting to talk to and made sure everyone had what they needed to enjoy the day. If we were confused the servers, bartenders, host and even management would help us to make sure we were able to solve the clue at there location so we can receive the next clue on where to go. The variety of food at each stop was absolutely delicious and filling, and was even given special drink specials at each location just for the Food Done It customers. We started off with some delicious Italian apps and ended at the coolest coffee shop having the most delicious French Vanilla coffee and most scrumptious cupcake. This tour clearly exceeded our expectation and was very well planned out. We started the tour at 1:30 and ended at 5:45. We never had to wait at any of the restaurant and went right in which was a huge plus. The user friendly app that went along the tour was great. I highly recommend this tour and can't wait to try the Fire and Ice tour...
   Read moreFDI? was a great time out for a birthday celebration. The owners are THE. BEST. I was having "technical difficulties" just getting to park because of it being Pride weekend and Patchogue on a weekend. When I called the number listed, I not only got an owner on the phone but he stayed on the phone to help me find parking (even secured me a spot). They are very customer oriented and picked some great eateries for the tour.
At one of the final locations, a nice gentleman stopped to talk to my group about the photo we were looking at (which was central part of that stop's clue). I mentioned we were doing the FDI? Tour and suggested if he has an empty stomach and wants to do a fun group activity to try it. It turned out, he must've been an owner of the location as he mentioned they've partnered with FDI? for a while and it's a great partnership.
The tour is also family friendly as my 13yo was a member of my group.
The only reiterations of warnings I have for everyone interested are:
Make sure you fast for close to a whole day beforehand as it is A. WHOLE. LOT. of food; Do NOT let your stomach or eyes deceive you into ordering ANYTHING other than a beverage at the stops because you WILL need the stomach space; Make sure your shoes are comfortable for walking; Pace yourself when eating and walking;
and Make sure you come with an open mind intent on having fun.
With that being said, I would wholeheartedly recommend...
   Read moreA group of seven moms could not wait for this day! We absolutely LOVED the idea! We were all so disappointed from the very first location- whisky near. The bartender/server was so rude. He didnât give us utensils or napkins and when we asked he only brought us three for a group of seven! The server at the potato chip place was kind, but every other establishment treated us horribly except the local burger. They were cheery, spoke to us and actually acted like we were real customers! ( their food was amazing too!) at the Cuban place we waited forty minutes for them to come back after they literally dropped the food on the table. We were looking to buy some appetizers and booze but they never came back to us! We complained to the manager and finally got service after forty minutes⌠and the place was dead. Soo disappointed. Wanted to do it with other friends and some family but wonât recommend because of the...
