I am absolutely appalled to have witnessed the event that I did Friday night by an employee of this restaurant named Leanne. While dining outdoors, we heard sirens heading toward a place nearby. A first responder approached in his vehicle, sounding the horn to make the cars in front of him aware that he needed to pass through. But the way was blocked by incoming customers, a young couple, who had not yet gotten out of their truck because a minor injury required the girl to use a knee scooter. She was in a mini dress with a Truly can (alcohol) in hand, so it’s not like she was crippled, rather appeared to be there to have a good time. Instead of pulling over and allowing the police officer to first pass through, as he was honking to get their attention and asking them to move out of the way due to an emergency, that’s when the waitress Leanne came out charging and shouted at him, “NO they’re going to get out of the car first...go ahead guys, he can wait”. So they proceeded to very slowly get out of their truck parked in the middle of the road, casually chatting without any sense of urgency or care for the situation. When the officer frantically stated that he had to get to someone to perform CPR, Leanne snapped back again and rudely said, “We heard fire trucks heading there, he’s not going to be the first one on the scene so he can relax”. Who is she to undermine the authority of a police officer and dictate the severity of a situation that she knows nothing about, involving the potential loss of a life if they’re not able to administer aid quickly? The officer was on his radio informing the dispatcher that he was blocked by traffic and could not get through for at least a minute or two while this was happening. I could only hope that he made it to that person in time. After he finally was able to pass through, Leanne was still making nasty remarks. You could tell right from the beginning that she must have had a preconceived attitude of disdain against police officers, because if you assessed the situation for what it was, which was him simply expressing that he needed to get through to make it to save someone’s life, you too would be in absolute disbelief that she actually would prevent him from doing just that. While her blatant disrespect for this police officer was disgusting and her actions in this dire situation were clearly immoral, it was especially inappropriate to act that way on the job in front of all of this establishment’s customers. This negative review is not about the restaurant itself, rather the display by this particular employee and I write this in hopes that the owner will take action to reprimand that unacceptable, horrendous behavior. Myself and many others do not want to be a patron of any business that employs such careless and reckless people. I hope to not see her still working there...
Read moreOld fashioned Ordered the Bacon Old Fashioned. Knob Creek is the house Bourbon for this The brown sugar 'simple syrup' is a very prominent, forward, taste in this drink. Next time I would ask for different simple syrup, if they had it. It was just a tad bit too sweet for my liking. If you like" sweet, sweet", this is for you! Liked the oversized square ice cube..Does the job of keeping the Old Fashioned very, very cold.. $14 is a good price for an Old Fashioned, these days. The burger I didn't bother to count the amount of burgers on the menu( pictured), but there are a lot... I got the plainest one possible, as usual.. The first one came out raw, and they cheeringlying, and apologieticly, brought me another one. They couldnt be nicer about it!!!.. I dont mind a tad under medium rare, but raw doesn't cut it for me .. It was good..You could tell they make it, in house.. It was a nice meat blend I got the pretzel roll as a choice of that, brioche, and sesame...meh..I'm starting to really dislike rolls..It added nothing to the burger. Maybe if they toasted it? Brie cheese is a new one for me..It was okay, and I liked it.. I order the Garlic fries, as fries do not come with the burger...$6.50 for a very large order of fries. In the end, it was a good burger..$15 Not in the Top Tier, by any stretch of the imagination, but a completely respectful burger.. Maybe top 25 The 1st server, who took my order, and took the burger back to the kitchen, could not have been nicer! The second server, bartender, Natalie was very engaging, prompt, polite, professional, and humorous. Parking can get hinky in the Port...Sometimes it easy, other times, you wonder why you went there😳..I was there at noon, on a Sunday,...
Read moreFor a 50 min wait to sit outside (even though we were told 25mins), the food was a huge disappointment, the only thing I can say that was good was the beer on tap I ordered started to run on empty while filling my cup so they gave it to me for free. We ordered a hot dog kids meal for my son the nachos with chicken ( it had barely any chicken in it) and my wife and I both ordered burgers. We had to wait over for almost 40mins for our burgers and it was lukewarm at best. Clearly it was just sitting in the back for awhile. I had to ask our waiter if our food was coming because we felt like we were forgotten about. She said it was busy and was coming out soon but the food wasn’t even hot when we finally received out order. I ordered the inside out burger, no cheese was inside the burger and the bacon wasn’t warm and it was rubbery. The cheese on top of the burger clearly was cooled off. So it wasn’t even looking like melted cheese. Very disappointing. And I ordered my burger medium rare and mine was well done. My wife ordered a burger medium and it was well done and it also was lukewarm . For it being a pandemic, you would think they would treat customers better and atleast serve hot food. Clearly they took advantage because due to it being first day of spring, a Saturday, and it being decent weather. Very disappointed. And it’s not cheap! So to put the amount of money for not even hot warm food it’s...
