Came here for date night on a Thursday with no reservation and had no issue getting a table around dinner time. Quaint little bar/restaurant that has a cozy feeling to it. I wouldn't necessarily say it has a prohibition/speakeasy vibe like the name would imply, but I enjoyed the atmosphere nonetheless. Decided to have a few drinks and split some appetizers. Starting with drinks, we tried their hibiscus gin, blueberry margarita, and the smoked old fashioned. The former two were the real standouts for me and excellent refreshing summer drinks on a hot day! The old fashioned is nothing to scoff at either though, they do theirs right on a drink that's easy to screw up. Moving on to food, we split the Mediterranean platter and an order of Buffalo wings. The platter gives a nice assortment of dips and veggies that are easily shareable, but don't expect the finest Greek quality around, still tasty though. The wings though were great, good portion and the wings felt substantial, could tell they were better quality and the sauce was as quintessential buffalo as it gets, exactly what we were looking for. The rest of the menu looked good too and I'd be eager to come back to try some more items any time. Service was good, checked in on us frequently and didn't rush us either which is always appreciated. Parking can be a little difficult but there are some available lots nearby, but just make sure that you pay the meters!

Prohibition Port Jeff’s instagram has been making my mouth water for years on instagram and it’s taken me way too long to finally get there and after making it there yesterday for the first time, it was more than worth the wait! Everything was perfect in my experience. Our hostess was both informative extremely inviting, and attentive as she took the best care of me and my wife as we waited for a table to open up on a busy and beautiful day in Port Jeff. We ended up ordering the special monthly cocktail on her recommendation as we hung out by the bar, where all of the patrons were welcoming, and we relished in how good the recommended Bloody Mary was! The atmosphere was so chill, warm, and cozy. After being seated our waitress was as diligent as they come. Taking our order promptly and making sure our water was always filled. The food was out of this world delicious! I partook in a boozy brunch with my wife where I had the Belgian waffle and it was honestly one of the best breakfasts I’ve had on Long Island. My partner got a Benny bowl that she couldn’t help but share just to have me join in on tasting how exquisite the roasted veggies and potatoes were. The whole experience was memorable and I honestly cannot wait to come back here throughout the summer!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Prohibition Kitchen, and I must say that it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped into this charming establishment, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly transported me to a bygone era. The Prohibition Kitchen seamlessly blends nostalgic ambiance with exceptional service and mouthwatering food.

Let's start with the service, which was truly top-notch. The staff at The Prohibition Kitchen went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. From the friendly and attentive servers to the knowledgeable and accommodating sommelier, every member of the team was committed to providing excellent service. They were prompt in taking orders, offered insightful recommendations, and were always ready with a smile. It's refreshing to encounter a restaurant where the staff genuinely cares about the patrons' satisfaction.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the ribs. The Prohibition Kitchen has truly mastered the art of preparing delectable ribs that will leave you craving more. Each bite was a heavenly combination of tender meat, succulent flavors, and a perfectly balanced smoky BBQ glaze. The ribs were cooked to perfection, falling off the bone with just the right amount of char.

Beyond the ribs, The Prohibition Kitchen boasts a diverse and enticing menu. From classic comfort food dishes to creative culinary creations, there is something to satisfy every palate. Whether you're in the mood for a juicy burger, a refreshing salad, or a mouthwatering steak, this place has got you covered. The quality and freshness of the ingredients shine through in every dish, making each bite a delight.

In addition to the outstanding food and service, The Prohibition Kitchen also offers an impressive selection of handcrafted cocktails and an extensive wine list. The mixologists take pride in their craft, crafting unique and flavorful concoctions that perfectly complement the menu. Whether you prefer a classic Old Fashioned or a creative signature cocktail, the bartenders will whip up a libation that will tickle your taste buds. The exceptional service, delectable ribs, and thoughtfully crafted menu make this establishment stand out from the rest. Whether you're looking for a memorable date night or a gathering with friends, The Prohibition Kitchen is the perfect destination. Step back in time, indulge in mouthwatering ribs, and let the impeccable service transport you to a...

I do enjoy the vibe from this establishment. This was my second time dining here. The first time I ate here, I say at a booth. The chalkboard sign outside the door said happy hour specials "X% off appetizers from 5-7." So my friend and I went in and were seated at a table, ordered an appetizer, 2 masks and cocktails. Upon getting out receipt, I politely stated we got an appetizer between 5-7 for happy hour....which then she told me, "oh no, that's only if you eat at the bar." That was extremely disappointing at there were, 1. No seats open at the bar, and 2. That should have been stated one the sign or verbally spoken to us upon ordering. So we paid cash on our first visit and didn't receive the correct change. They rounded up the change on our bill and short changed us. I was extremely confused. If you want to round the change, do it so you are losing out on the deal. The food and cocktails were good, especially the pulled pork nachos. So....today, we give it a second chance. Again the chalkboard sign outside says "30% off appetizers, $10 cocktails for happy hour 5-7." So we go in, we are getting seated and I ask if the specials for happy hour are only served at the bar and the waitress said no they are for the table also. So we sit at a table. Order one appetizer (30% off) and 2 cocktails ($10/per drink) as the sign states. We get the check and it shows one cocktail at $16, one at $10 and the correct discounted price for the appetizer. So I ask the waitress about the happy hour cocktail and she goes to fix the check and brings it back. One cocktail is $13, one is $10. The sign states $10 happy hour cocktails.......we are tired of asking questions and my friend said to just pay the bill. Total was $39.24. I paid cash $100. Recurved my change of $60 and was told they don't have change right now. I'm sorry, but again I was short changed. I should have gotten back $60.76. I am disappointed in the lack of caring, lack of consistency, discrepancies of advertising and actual prices, and the whole not giving correct change. I know it's only $0.76, but if a business does that to every customer, that is a bunch of mullarkey, and as a business you should be giving the proper change, and having change to give (especially if you're menu says cash price is 3.5% less than using a credit card). I am disappointed as this was a place I liked a lot, but I will not come...

we came here around 5pm on sunday, and we were sat by the bartender, and she was really nice, but then when we were sat no one came to the table for like 15 minutes, so we started to wonder if we were supposed to order at the bar. finally someone came over but didn’t even introduce herself or anything and only asked me, out of four of us, if i wanted anything to drink. i got a drink and told her we wanted mozzarella sticks, then the busser (who was also really nice) gave us the food and our server never came back - and by the way, it wasn’t busy or anything, there were only two other tables there. we tried to get her attention to tell her we were ready for food but she wouldn’t even look at us and would just walk past us. eventually 30 minutes went by and we decided we would just leave money on the table and go, because we couldn’t even ask her for the check. but then, i ended up spilling my drink on the floor and everyone else was so nice and helpful, but our server never came back to even check up or ask if we wanted another drink, even though she saw me spill my drink. overall it was a disappointing experience with the service of our one, specific server. she had black hair, with eyeliner and a bit emo. it was so weird, almost as if she knew us and didn’t like us but we’ve never visited this place before and we aren’t even from New York. it would’ve been a nice experience if our server would’ve paid attention to us. we were there for almost and hour and were only...
